    You’re literally the reason I bought an MPC (Live 2) since wanting an MPC since highschool (05’-09’). Not only did you market it well but your tutorials got me running it flawlessly in 1 week. Akai definitely dropped the ball not shipping you an MPC X SE.

    Same here, there are lots of MPC tutorials, but the effort you put in yours just shows: it's clear, well thought and the image quality isn't blurry/dark. I have my MPC on a table with a MIDI keyboard and my iPad above the whole setting to watch your tutorials and put them in action on the spot. You're a good teacher. And your music is pretty good which doesn't hurt either.

Your teachings help me a lot to progress, your positive energy and your passion for these machines and beatmaking motivates me to always learn a little more and practice more. So a big thank’s to you Malo I hope you are enjoying your new studio! P.S. The UAD Volt doesn't have a mono button? What is its function ? I am currently looking for an audio interface to extend my setup and play with a few guitar pedals and this volt interests me a lot so thank you for your feedback would you have any other models to recommend and a first pedal to try?

    Speaking of the panning problem of the single channels. Someone might mentioned this down in the comments or you figured it in the meantime... but you have the "mono" button on the 476P which kills the panning of the single channels. Not ideal that the mono button goes for all or no channels but for some situations its cool to have it. Having the Volt 476p too, any of that its an awseome interface 👍. Thanks for your work here, im always enjoying your tutorials.

Its especially good for house but hip hop also. You have pedals now and you can hook them up via send its so much fun to twist knobs and mix that way its crazy good and i know you would love it. And you can also hear it after you push it and go in to red/clipping its instant 90s sound

    I went with an RME Babyface Pro and it's been amazing and yes you can mono each channel. It doesn't have a 1-button compressor tho. One limitation i've found with the MPC is that although you can run mono channels using the L/R on the Main Outputs, if you put an insert plugin into that linked output (say 1/2) it automatically links the output to stereo regardless of what you have the interface set at.

  • @darioparra9714

    Isn’t the stereo/mono input based on whether you’re using balanced or unbalanced TRS/TS cables?

  • @dirckcopeland9154

    @dirckcopeland9154

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes, but balanced or unbalanced has to do with the signal, whether it is a line input (balanced - TRS) or an instrument (unblanaced -TS), if the stereo signal is split before the output, then you can use a TS cable to carry left or right of the stereo to separate 1/4 jacks.

    @SandcastleTheory Жыл бұрын

    Yes, but... Using an external interface disables the MPC's onboard I.O. So, by hooking up this interface, you actually lose 2 outputs, but gain an extra pair of inputs. You seem to have your reasons, but this is basically a lateral move. Anyway, I just thought this was worth mentioning for the sake of others. Cheers!

  • @malobeats

    @malobeats

    Жыл бұрын

    You’re absolutely correct and I should have mentioned this, the benefit that I get from this set up is having those extra parameters when it comes down to Sound design like the compressor and vintage mode being able to slam your signal right back in. Eventually, I want to try out an actual small digital consul to really expand the audio, but this small set up in this video really works for the onboard compressors that the interface carries. I really appreciate you taking the time and sharing this input with us though since it’s very helpful.
