ABOUT AJMAN U.A.E
The Emirate of Ajman is centrally located on the western coast of the United Arab Emirates, a short distance from Dubai representing the northern flank of the Dubai- Sharjah - Ajman metropolitan area.
Under the able leadership and guidance of H. H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council U.A.E. and Ruler of Ajman, the emirate has been transformed with modern facilities and amenities. The Emirate is also well connected with the rest of the U.A.E. by a network of modern highways and roads. Yet the traditional way of life has been preserved making the modern living environment a pleasant blend of the old with the new and the simple with the sophisticated.
Industrial development has touched this small but important Emirate to its core. Higher education has thrived in Ajman since the establishment of 2 major universities of higher education. The beautiful beaches of Ajman and the clean and less commercialized seashores offer excellent facilities for swimmers and beach lovers. Some of the areas such as Masfoot and Manama are rich in agriculture and farming. Mountains in all directions that provide a scenic backdrop to this region surround Masfoot. The people of the United Arab Emirates are proud of their culture, heritage and history that form the foundation of the country’s present prosperity.
The fort in Ajman built way back in the 18th century is a symbol that reflects this heritage. Finally, living in a marine environment, dhow building using traditional tools and manual skills and fishing continue to thrive as important activities in this Emirate.
Ajman Travel
Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) was established upon the Emiri Decree no. 3/2012, issued by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashed Al-Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. ATDD aims to highlight the importance of tourist attractions available in the Emirate of Ajman, and lay down strategic plans for tourism promotion, locally, regionally and internationally, via holding/participating in conferences, exhibitions, and international promotion campaigns. ATDD also works on organizing and developing the tourism industry in the Emirate of Ajman, improving the potentials and services of tourism facilities with the aim of increasing national income.
Golf
Crafted by Nicklaus Design and managed by the renowned Troon Golf, Ajman’s new Al Zorah Golf Club has put the emirate on the golfing map. With celebrated Championship golf courses in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and now Ajman, the UAE is an up-and-coming golfing destination that attracted an estimated 60,000 golfers last year.
Water Sports

With one million square metres of natural mangrove forest, Al Zorah Nature Reserve is a haven for bird and marine life. Al Zorah Nature Reserve is a vibrant ecosystem made up of mangroves, turquoise lagoons and sandy beaches, which is home to nearly 58 species of bird including pink flamingo, egret and heron.
