Mantras aren't supposed to be sung the way Pandit ji is singing. They have their own rules for chanting. And this pandit ji doesn't seems to know the difference between 'Sa' and 'Sha' at many places he replaced the former with latter.

It seems there is heavy influence of Prakrit on Samskrita accent in which he is chanting mantras which makes his chanting not so pleasant to here.

This is an abridged version of traditional Hindu wedding but captured all the essential elements. An elaborate version of it lasts for up to 7 days and takes place at both brides and grooms places. The first and most important part always takes place at Brides place where family and friends of the grooms are invited guests. The main ceremony itself lasts for 3 to 5 hours and the ceremony takes place only on auspicious days and times. As per Hindu tradition a marriage is not only union of husband and wife but foremost it is a union between families and their traditions. It is not an ionic bond but an elaborate covalent bonding of multiple elements which provide strong structural stability.

The need for explanation reminds me of the very ancient Christian church traditions when the priests spoke in Latin, a language the common people didn't know. I assume in this case, however, it's because some of the participants do know the language and some don't?

JUDITH ,MOST of the HINDU mantras ( SACRED CODES) are in SANSKRIT LANGUAGE ......most of the Hindus don't understand this language these days ....here the PRIEST is explaining some of mantras in English . ....
