nah tbf LFC never had the best academy. but Ajax on the other hand, probably the best in the world. if you count the fact they arent even top 15 world clubs. obviously the bigger clubs have made bigger stars, but not as many stars.

Als je geen zin hebt zeg dan af of zo, want zo’n 1e helft slaat natuurlijk helemaal nergens op. Wel goed en hongerig van Ajax, maar die hadden vast ook op meer weerstand gehoopt.

Was blijkbaar bijna allemaal u16 van Liverpool. De U18 had pas gespeeld tegen Arsenal en had vrij.

FYI, for those saying the Liverpool U18 side is 'inconsistent', only one of these players made the starting lineup in the 7-1 trashing of Arsenal a week ago. Danns played; Figueroa and Laffey attended and they came on at like 90 minutes. This was basically a Liverpool U16/B team.

Hoe meer ik dit Ajax shirt zie hoe mooier ik het begin te vinden. Zo erg is het allemaal niet. Natuurlijk niet wat we verwachten maar toch wel mooi shirtje

The score could and should have been at least 15-0, the lads were lucky that AJAX side missed many more quite generously. LFC lads made almost all of the possible textbook mistakes condensed into 90 minutes. They'll surely learn many lessons out of this colossal thrashing and hopefully will come out stronger and wiser, if not eventually fade into amateur non-league football.

Kan ook een vertekend beeld zijn. Moeten ook niet doen alsof dit de norm is. Hoop alleen dat 1 eens van dit soort dingen leert... ipv "komt wel goed..." zou ik graag eens een 1ste zien dat probeerd om met de rust 3-0 voor te staan. Dat speelt makkelijker en knak je een tegenstander. Veel van de goals waren ook door slordigheden van Liv. Als t dan 5-0 staat heb je ook geen gemotiveerde tegenstander meer

One thing of note I took from this game was the lack of Tackling 😩not one player was putting the foot in 🙈

I'm pretty sure the Liverpool youth players on show were from a mix of unused u18's and u16's players. Majority of U18's had just played Arsenal in FA Youth Cup and beat them 7-1. But enjoy the victory anyway. Youth football results don't matter. The important thing is the players learning from these types of defeats.
