Just not knowing THAT, shows it wasn't something they took seriously in camp.

Was scratching my head as to why Ngannou went southpaw but this gives me a good idea of what he was thinking. And Paulie, as far as Hearn, his job is to promote Joshua. It wasn’t the jabs. It was the feints and the set ups. Basically, his brain. He just knew what to do to set francis up and see francis holes in his game and had the ability to capitalise. Francis has major holes in his defence because of fighting in mma. His guard isn’t as tight as it needed to be and he constantly was trying to parry AJ’s shots and completely missing. Soon as francis switched too AJ dropped him because his defence was even more open than in orthodox. That was clearly a trigger for AJ to throw a straight right. I like Dewey cooler but the fact that francis pretty much only used his right hand a few times which is his biggest weapon is strange. He pretty much has resorted to only using his left hook which Joshua read all day long. Even the overuse of the parry is something they should have ironed out training for boxing. Using his orthodox defence whilst in southpaw should have been a big reason to never use that stance. AJ is just too experienced and had the tools to hurt francis and exploit his weaknesses and holes in his defence in the way that fury couldn’t. Don’t think anyone at heavyweight could have done that as efficiently as AJ other than maybe zhang because of his power. Parker maybe because he’s developed a lot and is a smart boxer but francis wouldn’t have been stopped as quick, Usyk would have taken longer to hurt francis too, Fury couldn’t do it. AJ was literally THE worst opponent francis could have fought in boxing. Great performance but respect to ngannou.

Great analysis. In fairness to Zhang, he's 40, he knows he gasses out after a few rounds, and his gameplan was to land a few big shots and get the knockout. On less hardy guys, that can definitely work, but Parker is a tough fucker. His knockout to Joyce was one of those things; that was a great punch which would have knocked out most heavyweights.

I don't think that Ngannou was worried about anything after that second knockdown, I think he just wasn't there. He was just standing there with no reaction waiting to be killed because he had nothing left.

He said after that second knock down he had no memory of the rest of the fight. Looking at that reminds me of wilder v breazeale, I say that because ngannou could drop down to that level of opponents and work his way up. He should still earn more money doing that.

Parkers win over zhang zhilei isnt talked about. Wilder zhang back2bck shows he is at the highest level of the heayweight div he can compete with the bigger guys in the division and if he can come out victorious against zhang in the rematch he will probably be made full wbo champ in the aftermath of the undisputed fight between fury and usyk.
