AIZEN’S BROKEN SHIKAI | KYOKA SUIGETSU EXPLAINED | BLEACH Breakdown
Фильм және анимация
Aizen uses his kyoka suigetsu to his advantage several times within the series, this mysterious yet very effective shikai has proven to be one of the most broken, overpowered and dangerous shikai in the entire series. If Aizen’s shikai is this powerful then how much more broken must his bankai be? In this video I will explain everything that there is to know about Aizen’s Zanpakuto and its Shikai Kyoka Suigetsu.

I think it's interesting that his zanpakuto translates to Mirror Flower Water Moon and that Ichigo was the only one who could defeat him with Zangetsu (Moon Cutter). While everyone fought the reflection of the moon, Ichigo did exactly what his Getsuga Tensho is supposed to and cut the moon

there is a similar thing with the fight between byakuya and ichigo in the first arc. when byakuya beats renji in his bankai, he tells him that he is a beast with fangs always only being able to reach the reflection of him as the moon in the water, as to explain their power gap. then a few episodes later we get introduced to ichigo's newly acquired getsuga tensho in his fight with byakuya. struck me sometime, when I rewatched the series.

You conveniently forgetting that’s only because aizen didn’t use his mirror flower water moon on ichigo lol?
Aizen's illusion based abilities will always be the most scary among the key players of the series. Also his hatred of the concept of the Spirit King fits with his monumental ego, that a being of such unknowable primordial power was subjugated by 5 greedy weaklings in comparison after willingly surrendering to their demands. That certainly drove him crazy and fueled his drive.

That and the fact that by the end of the series the spirit king is dead, Aizen has proved the soul society cannot survive without him but willingly returns to his imprisonment knowing unlike the soul king the bindings don't hold him, he sits in the darkness of Mugen getting stronger. @@AnimeIsArt21 This is way too true, eventually Aizen will grow so powerfull that even with 99% of his reiatsu sealed from the seals + restrains he will have enough power to break out of them. Very ironic for Byakuya in that moment as well. Byakuya fully believed in the law of the Soul Society to the point that he would go through with Rukia's execution, but it was actually Aizen pulling the strings all along, making up Central 46 announcements and falsifying the law. Byakuya thought he was being a dutiful Soul Reaper, but he was only falling into the water himself.

Shinji: "When did you start using Kyoka Suigetsu?" Aizen: "Since you were in your mother's womb."
I think you missed one weakness. Although Aizen can make you see, hear and touch whatever he wants to, he can't make something he doesn't know. In case with Central 46, if someone had gone there after Aizen killed them all and asked as simple question as "How's the weather?", unless Aizen knows he should make the person hear the fake answer, he can't make them hear any sensible answers. That's why either he, Gin or Tosen had to stay there all the time (aside during captains' meeting). Same thing with Turn Back the Pendulum, where Aizen mentioned that if Shinji had know Aizen better, he could had noticed that the illusion wasn't the real Aizen but a pawn of him (notice that there had to be someone, so there could be believable interactions). So while his powers are almost broken, it's not godly ability. He can make a believable a corpse of himself, but it will be only as accurate as he can think of. As far as I know, he can't just wish "You will see a perfect replica of my body", but he has to make something like "You will all see this kind of body, with these kind of organs, and with these kind of injuries". Because of that Aizen has to have a very good understanding of his own body in order to trick Squad 4. Unohana, who most likely had more knowledge than Aizen about bodies and injuries (as she have caused many of them), was able to see some faults of his "body". In other words, Kyoka Suigetsu is so powerful, because it's Aizen's ability. If you or I have such ability, we couldn't make those illusions nearly as believable.

Aizen himself didn't seem to know what Juha was seeing exactly.

We know that swords reflect the real abilities of the user. That's why Aizen could technically use his sword's abilities without the sword itself after he originally broke it. Kinda like when Hitsugaya had ice powers before he became Shinigami or the filler dude with Muramasa, could use the same abilities as Muramasa itself.
I believe that the Shikai is meant to represent who you are on the surface, as in the version of yourself you generally show others. A Bankai on the other hand, reflects your true, inner self, and it is often something you are hesitant/reluctant to show others. This would explain why we have only seen Aizen’s Shikai. Throughout the entire series, we have only gotten the briefest of glimpses at Aizen’s true self. Mainly his anger and frustration at Kisuke for simply accepting the status quo and the twisted true nature of the Soul King and the sins of the Soul Society. And Ichigo sensing that Aizen deep down, felt isolated and alone due to his strength, intellect and potential. My guess is, Aizen’s Bankai is something that reflects his inner turmoil and might even ability that he himself hates, because he sees it more as a weakness then as his greatest weapon. I think it is very telling that the two people that might have understood Aizen the most were the two major characters that were never place under his spell, those being Tosen and Ichigo.

But Aizen doesn’t generally show others that he’s deceptive. Like his entire thing for his whole life was to appear trustworthy and normal, not to deceive others. And deception is the power of his shikai… Aizen lived a long time, before we saw him. It’s only a few years we see how he was deceptive, but he never showed it when he actually developed it.

@@nothnkyou That is what Aizen was saying when he revealed his shikai’s ability. That whole image of him being a kind and trustworthy person, WAS just an illusion. Also, he is still deceptive after he leaves Soul Society. He presents himself as a benevolent savior to the Hollows, who is there to bring order to their chaotic realm, and most of them see him as a God. When in actuality, he cares nothing for them and is only using them as a means to an end (stalling the Soul Reapers while he works on merging with the Hōgyoku). And he was deceiving his own Captain, Shinji, hundreds of years before the current day story. Though yes, we don't know when he actually started becoming like that. My guess is when he learned the truth of the Original Sin and how the Soul Society has been deceiving everyone from it's very inception. So, he ended up becoming just like the system he hated and wanted to bring down. Which is some very fitting irony.

By the end of Bleach, Complete Hypnosis manages to become even more perfect as Aizen eventually figures out how to become 1 with his zanpakuto while imprisoned in Muken. By the end of the series, it's safe to say that the only condition to completing the Hypnosis ritual is to just be looking at Aizen at the moment he decides to invoke complete hypnosis. He doesn't even have to state the 'shatter' command to release it (as we saw when he used the hypnosis ritual on Barragan). It's the only conceivable way he was able to use Hypnosis on Yhwach while imprisoned in Muken. In other words, he used hypnosis on Yhwach while completely unarmed, strapped to a chair, and with seals to prevent his reitasu from extending beyond his body. Honestly, of all of Kyouka Suigetsu's supposed weaknesses, there's really one in my mind that stands out--which doesn't seem to have been covered in this video. The canon Bleach novel "Can't Fear Your own World" featured a villain in possession of a zanpakuto that allowed him to mimic other zanpakuto abilities. Long story short, we end up finding out that Kyoka Suigetsu actually requires a tremendous amount of spiritual energy to wield in the way Aizen does. Constantly maintaining illusions for extremely long periods of time turns out to be extremely costly to one's spiritual energy supply and isn't able to be maintained so easily, even among Captain class level shinigami. But with Aizen's amount of spiritual energy, it's not much of an issue. The novel also confirms that due to Aizen's spiritual energy level allowing him to maintain illusions indefinitely, its' weakness of touching the blade before release wasn't much of an issue when faced against opponent's he's already used hypnosis on since Aizen has no need to release anyone from hypnosis once he's trapped them the 1st time. TL;DR - I'd argue kyouka suigetsu is even more broken than this video suggests.

@mjm3091
2 жыл бұрын
@@Michael_Schumacher well technically it didn't work like that. He wasn't using his sword all the time - it works more like an imprint. You are under his spell when you see it for the first time and any time it is activated - you are still under that spell. It is important to mention that he could keep illusions forever. But to put someone under the illusion - he had to activate his sword (or the ability after he fused). Which means there was always a small window where someone could have caught him. Which is something Gin actually exploited.
@mjm3091
2 жыл бұрын
And we don't even really know the extend of his abilities. We haven't seen him create whole illusions of cities or whole countries. His limit could have been with smaller scales. Also I genuinely think that sooner or later, if more inconsistencies would come up (like with his body) - either Urahara or Mayuri would find a counter measure. It's all really about using your own reiatsu to manipulate others. There is a big chance that Book of End could rewrite the moment someone saw the sword release - canceling effects of the illusion. There is a chance that Urahara's Bankai could rewrite his perception of the world as well. And both him and Mayuri could potentially find and create another sense that Aizen couldn't put illusion on (there are more than just 5 senses in the world, for example the electrical sense Sharks have). Also we don't really know how the illusion affects electronics either. Maybe an artificial being could be immune to it. The illusion itself is only as strong as the user - if Aizen was weak, he wouldn't be able to defeat or kill a lot of people. If they prepared a s-word trap, when he reached Karakura, locking him in and blowing everything and everyone up - that could lead to his defeat as well. Somehow what Yamamoto tried to do. The power is broken, but it has some universal weakness aside touching the sword.
@Kal911

It was already explained that a shinigami who achieved bankai can use his shikai without the command, and since Aizen’ shikai is identical to the sealed form, he can just show you the sword and activate his shikai without saying anything.
The reason why Old man Yama was able to “see” through Kyoka Suigetsu is for the same reason Gin could and explained. By touching the blade of Kyoka Suigetsu you undo the effects it has on you. So just like when Gin touched the blade, Yama was stabbed and run through which is still touching the blade in a way.
I’m a channel supporter for a few months now, and i saw the dip you had these past few months, I’m really happy seeing you shine again in KZread🙌🏼
Aizen in particular doesn't necessarily NEED to have a Bankai to have become captain. We know he didn't do it the way that Zaraki did so he became captain the regular way. Which is by showing a Bankai. However if everyone was already under his Shikai's hypnosis then he could've shown them a "Bankai" that's in line with the "flowing water" type Zanpakuto they all thought he had. So his Bankai might not have even been achieved yet. He could've become so fixated on his far above average prowess, intelligence, plans and Shikai that he just never bothered with his Bankai. He seems the type to have fixated on his Shikai ability and thought he wouldn't need a Bankai. If that's the case then relations could've broken down between him and his Zanpakuto causing him to not achieve Bankai. I'd say that his Shikai was his Bankai but CFYOW would contradict that.

In my opinion, this is the perfect weapon for someone like Aizen. It helps him in all aspects of his plans. From being used in battle to being able to hide him in plain sight as he enacts his plans. Aizen uses his zampakto as a multipurpose tool and not just an offensive weapon. Great video.
One thing that is interesting about kyokasuigetsu is that its limits are never spoken, but implied all the time. If it was truly as strong as aizen presents it he never would have made wonderweiss, he never would have bothered with an arrancar army. He never would have bothered doing half the stuff he did. My Theory is that to actually cast an illusion with it requires insane amounts of energy to be used, The kind of thing where if he spammed it against someone like yamamoto he would drain himself of energy far too quickly.

You’re the best bleach KZreadr I’ve watched keep going. You will definitely see 1million subs one day.
Aizens biggest weakness was needing to have his release looked at whereas at the end of the series after he merged with Kyoka Suigetsu simply looking at him has the same effect and he can activate it whenever he wants without warning.
you know...taking kyouka suigetsus name into account aizen actually looks like a white lotus flower 6:37 even his purple/violet secondary color makes sense with the lotus in mind. it also connects the "moon" in getsuga tensho to the illusion of the moon on the water part.
Out of all Zanpakuto’s his was the most confusing to me. Thank you so damn much explaining it to me
I think his bankai would be Complete Sensory Deprivation. If you think about it, not only fits his character, but also the story and answer a few questions as well. A quick rundown would be- It would explain why Ichigo thought Aizen's sword was lonely. It would be another level over his shikai. For a conflicted character like Aizen his shikai controls all 5 senses his bankai they lose not only those 5 but also your sense of time, direction, reality. But as controlling as Aizen is, would explain why he may not like his bankai. If it's and AE effect and have a draw back like is taxing on him, would answer why he hasn't used it. Also explain why he allowed himself to go back to Muken. He might feel more at home there and where else in the entirety of Bleach could he train a bankai like that. It would go with his fondness for the Black Coffin kido and his respect for Tosen. (thinking of Tosen's bankai).
My favourite broken Bankai in the series. I really found Aizen to be an interesting and vicious character. However his Bankai I would assume he has either used it before and it didnt do what he expected it to do like your review of the last kempachi with that giant man eating ball bankai release. Id guess its like Shunzuis Mangekyo Sharingan from Naruto. Its a perfect hypnosis that leaves no trace or room for error in the user but nly once or 3 times even after being told of what has occured. Like being trained a doctor yet you are told by Aizen to be a fashion model so you forget. That sort of thing. I just Love Bleach and your content @DBZimran so its just my thoughts.
THIS IS WHAT WE SUBSCRIBE FOR!
Pause at :36 I knew it was going to be a fire video when you said weakness of it 😂
I like to think that what he calls his Shikai is really his Bankai, which he's strong enough to keep active 24/7/365.
Mugetsu translating to "moonless night" is pretty fire 🔥
It wasn't believable to me that Aizen would be so powerful that he could wipe out a Captain or was vastly superior to the Espada, who wrecked Ichigo and friends. He would have attained a level that was several levels higher than Captain level, relatively quickly, as he was pretty young compared to his fellow Captains.
I think another weakness of aizens illusion is that you can’t have seperate illusions to different people. Basically if you wanted to show two people two different things, you can’t
At this point, do we really even know if Aizen is actually Aizen? Aizen's bankai does one of three things: 1. Immediately drives those within the radius of his bankai insane. Destroys senses and brain 2. Creates a perfect copy of himself (clone) 3. Governs an alternate reality and all aspects in it, similar to a "Zanpakto world".
I'm not saying Aizen lacks a Bankia but I could see him not having bothered to learn it. I could see him thinking the amount of time to learn it would not be worth it compared to his goal to replace the soul king and given how powerful his Shikai is I could see him thinking it was just not worth the time investment.
Awesome 🔥👍😁.
I think the main limitation of his sword is that he can only really make one thing appear to be another. When he describes it, he outright says that he can change all dimensions of a target which would imply that there needs to be something there. He can't just make you attack nothing.
Just the name Kyoka Suigestsu alone gives me chills. Can't wait for a potential Bankai one year.
Fascinating... So you believe these are the secrets of my zampaktou? Omoshiroi
My theory on what Aizen's bankai is, if his shikai affects all 5 senses then in its second stage his zanpakuto affects the one thing that all 5 senses depend on, that is memory. A bankai is a reflection of the user's true character, and Aizen in his heart is someone that always felt like no one recognised him, like someone who is always forgotten. That feeling is why he was always able to lie without suspicion and why no one can know if they are under an illusion.

I always thought Aizen's Bankai would be overwriting reality with his illusion, the illusion becomes so real that reality can't help but accept it kind of like how Izanagi in Naruto works. I also think it's funny that Kyoka Suigetsu is basically High Tier Genjutsu from Naruto. Or if that is just copy and pasting from Naruto, then here's an alternative thought, Aizen's Bankai affects the 1 sense that the Shikai does not affect, the sense that is sensing reiryoku. But part of me thinks Aizen's Shikai also affects the sense of reiryoku....
I think the scariest aspect of the Bankai is that even facing Ichigo at his implied zenith of his powers and later the entity that essentially absorbed god and was about to rewrite reality to end existence as it currently was- still wasn’t enough to push him to use it and it means something more insane than the hero at the pinnacle of his power and the next god would have to even stronger to even force Aizen to consider Bankai.

Or it's just ass. Bankai are not upgrade to skikai, they are more powerful but in the end what kind of power it actually depends on one's true nature. Aizen idolizes ichigo and his courage, his bankai will something completely different based on this fact alone.

One of kyoka suigetsu weakness is that it is not a power offensive weapon, even if you can hypnotize everyone, but if the person your trying to hypnotize is immortal and indestructible then your just wasting your time
Aizen's bankai is the entire Bleach, he planned everything out, including Tite Kubo.
Anything Aizen I love. Please more Aizen. I can't get enough Aizen. AIZEN Ps: Aizen's Bankai is basically eveyone is in a simulation all the while Aizen is ruling the world sipping tea.

Aizens bankai is just the reveal that his true name is Tite Kubo
Thanks, though 😅 I learnt quite some new terms on his name, I really would have liked if Tite Kubo revealed Aizen's Bankai.
Can’t think of a name for his bankai but I can think up a power, with it being a far more powerful form of hypnosis. It was stated that Aizen did have a bankai but it also needs not worked on those that saw his shikai release, and this lead me to believe that his bankai allows him to do more than manipulate peoples’ senses but also their minds to an extent. While powerful it’s not really able to be used in combat, main reasons I thought of this is that Aizen stated that he had made sure Momo was as loyal and what to him as possible so when he faked his death she would cause distractions through Soul Society and second if it had combat abilities like his shikai he would have used it there for his bankai is not a viable combat ability for him to reliably use. In short, his is able to manipulate peoples minds to an extent but he can’t use it in the middle of a fight and they also have to have seen his shikai release to be effected by his bankai. Don’t ask me where I heard this fact about his bankai I forgot where, it was either from a Bleach video here on KZread or from a wiki.
1:08 Ah, the hexagon. The most duplicitous of shapes.
I got three guesses at what his Bankai was. First guess would be he didn't have a bankai and just used his Shikai to make all the captains think he had one. Maybe his Shikai was just so strong it was impossible for it to go into Bankai. Second guess would be it was already in Bankai. Would make sense considering he had immense power even compared to other captains. It's like how we thought Kenpachis sword was always in shikai form, Maybe aizens was always in bankai form. and Third guess would be his bankai affected reality it self. But the problem with this guess would be why he wouldn't just use that to get rid of the soul king and change everything how he wanted. Or maybe it was very limited in how far and how long it could change reality.
Clears throat........ Aizen doesn't have those weaknesses anymore, he is now fused with his zanpaktou.
kyoka suigetsu is a Chinese idiom 镜花水月 ( flower's reflection on the mirror and the reflection of the moon in water). Something that can be seen as illusion, without a solid form. But it has another meaning, it is a state being able to become aware of what's reality of the world (in his case, the truth about the Soul King)
I personally shudder to think what Kyoka Suigetsu's hypothetical Bankai would be
I used to postulate that Momo was Aizen's bankai, or rather an illusion so perfect that it believed itself to be real, in the sense that Aizen could create people (and maybe even places or objects) in the minds of others that did not exist. Think about it: how else could Momo have survived all those mortal injuries? Of course, it's been stated that no one who hasn't seen Aizen's shikai can see his bankai, which means Ichigo would never have seen Momo, which in turn leads me to believe that Kanzen Saimin IS the bankai aspect of Aizen's zanpakuto. Whereas the release command places a target under Kanzen Saimin, the result is a passive bankai that remains in place for all placed under it. Basically a round about way of saying that in Aizen's case, his sword has evolved beyond the need to have stages.

I’d add onto this by saying that Aizen never even really needed the bankai, looking at how one progresses with his sword, it goes release-shikai-bankai-true bankai/ final stage, and Aizen had already eclipsed the final stage mark, I mean the man fused with his zanpakto entirely, he could summon it from his body at will against Ywach, I’ll never understand why everyone wants to see his bankai when he already far surpassed a simple bankai transformation.

@@culleno872 It could be that Aizen's Zanpakuto is an abberation, much like Ichigo having a constant release shikai, or Hanataro's sword being auto-release without a command. The fact that no one can even conceive of a bankai for a sword as broken as Kyoka Suigetsu is more evidence that he doesn't require one. I mean, how could Aizen be so arrogant as to not use Bankai when fighting Yamamoto, but conscientious enough to have Wanderweiss in his back pocket?
I would guess then the way to get out is to get in the inner space and let the zanpakutou tell the user what's the real deal.
Aizen's bankai was the friends we made along the way
I love how in Naruto and Bleach the most ridiculous abilities involves illusion based attacks
Explain Nuraryhon kyoka suigetsu and how it different with aizen kyoka suigetsu
Imagine if kyoku suigetsu is like that paint guy bankai where it has to be used in tandom with your shikai like maybe his bankai makes illusions real but they first have to be under the influence of his shikai
One thing that’s fascinating to me is the concept of the final evolution of Zanpakuto being a full merging with its user. Ichigo achieved this through the Final Getsuga Tensho while Aizen somewhat achieved this by TYBW since he can summon and use Kyoka Sugetsu and its abilities at will. However, in the mobile game Bleach Souls we see some “what if…” forms with the 6th anniversary design being Aizen fully evolved with his Zanpaktou and the Hyogyoku. He literally makes a mirror flower and his style is all about illusions and mirrors. I’ve heard how a novel mentions his Bankai only affects people already under his Shikai which makes me wonder what the hell a goddamn Bankai would do to the poor bastards
I wonder gow it would work in the real world because their are far more senses then just 5 or even 6 senses, for example one thing that is argued to be a sense is the perception of time passing. It's often said to be a sense as well
I always thought that a way Kubo could have made for characters to break the hypnosis would have been them to have to 100% believe that what they are seeing would never happen
Bankia: Shatter all dreams, So thy shall I be the reality.
Kyoka suigetsu is also an ability used by Rikuo Nura of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan in S1 E25 of the anime. It is also an illusion. Is that a coincidence, or is the idea of kyoka suigetsu (mirror flower, water moon) common in Japan?
I can't wait for Bleach anime coming this fall!!! 😍
My thoughts on the bankai is being able to hypnotize the inner being of people. His Shikai is to give an illusion of the outside world to someone. So what if his Bankai could illusion your inner-self? Memories, your face, maybe even tricking organs into not working because they are convinced the body is already dead? Think of it like tricking Ichigo that he is Yamamoto. He would make him see Yamamoto's face in his reflection. He would have memories of growing up as Yamamoto. He tricks his body into feeling strong or elderly.
4:05 correction: the reason the Illusions don't work on Ichigo is because he was cut by The Sword before he saw the release.

Bleach characters: *Sees Kyouka Suigetsu and gets affected* Me: Pathetic.
The chair that holds aizen is the strongest character in bleach can't wait for it to be animated
I think I've figured out how his sword works and it's flaw, his sword is complete hypnosis, allowing him to control his enemies senses all five of them, just by seeing his sword once before it's release, gin said you have to hold on to it before that in order to escape it, but what if you avoid looking at kyoka suigetsu, during the fight with Aizen and the other captains, I notice that when they fought him he had his sword seen by all of them, right in range of their sight, everytime they thought they had him before his ability could be used, he revealed to have been using it the entire time. During those moments with Soifon and Hitsugaya, where he was impaled, they saw his sword, what if he just changed their perception to make it look like they strike him but really missed, during that time he switched places with Momo it wouldn't be impossible to do it with his speed right before the attack. with their eyes focused on the illusion. what if the illusion only work as long as his sword is seen, even if your under an illusion you still have to see it. it's just a theory, still working on it, just been thinking about for a while.
Since his shikai is total hypnosis I'll say his bonkai is mind control cleshay but his ability is to manipulate what better way than mass mind control plus unable to desert enemy from friend he will be hard to beat if you are mind controlled
Goat
When the ending of bleach happened so quickly (due to the rushed finish) and everyone had such a happy ending. I thought it was Aizen's bankai giving everyone their happy ending though hypnosis. But that wasn't the case...
We know that a Bankai and a shikai have to have similar abilities. Even if those abilities are link to more abstractly than literally. So his Bankai would have to do with illusions. Perhaps his bronchi is like Gin's. It's just a "bigger" version of his shikai.
unohana knowing that aizen was up to no good and didnt say anything was like shak'ti from star wars when 5s tried to warn her about order 66 but she just ignored it playing it off as rambling
Momo was the coldest moment in anime history man that shits still amazing to watch
I believe that Aizen’s bankai is the ability to enter people’s minds and create illusions that can hurt them. Like a mixture of Dorothy dream magic in Black Clover and Itachi’s Tsukuyomi from Naruto. Only reason why he never used it is - He can only use it on one opponent at a time - His body is left vulnerable while he’s inside someone’s mind.
even before TYBW I was most interested to see what Aizen's Bankai is.
Remember aizen put everybody under hypnosis and showed them what the sword is what everything was even though we have never seen it he definitely used hypnosis to fool every one including us maybe that's why we can't see his bankai
There is no bankai, there is just Aizen; his Zanpakuto: Kyoka Suigetsu and his ability: Kanzen Saimin. Thats it. Everything else is part of the illusion and thus part of Aizen’s plan.

I’m a big Naruto and Bleach fan. There’s no way anyone in Naruto is breaking out of Kyoka Suigetsu, except (big) maybe Madara. Because it was said very clearly that you have to know you’re in a genjutsu to break out of it. The problem with Kyoka Suigetsu is nobody ever seems to know they’re under its control, not even Yhwach, a literal god character.
Before he fuzed with his zanpakto, Aizen shared the same weakness as Tosen's bankai. A perceptive opponent could perceive the blade striking them and touching the blade dispelled the effect. Though Aizen's would be far harder to pull that off.

I wonder what the spirit of Aizen Sword looks like?
You don't need to be able to use Bankai to become Captain of the Gotei 13. There are three different ways to become a Gotei 13 captain: Captain Proficiency Test (隊首, taishu): A test which requires the ability to perform Bankai. Nearly all Shinigami become captains using this method. At least three existing captains, including the Captain-Commander, have to witness the test. Personal Recommendation: To have personal recommendations from at least six captains and approval from at least three of the remaining seven. Trial by Combat: To defeat and kill an already acting captain in one-on-one combat with at least 200 witnesses from the captain's division. This method is seen as being the exceedingly rarest and the least refined of the three. The method is commonly looked down upon by some captains as barbaric and outdated compared to the other refined methods. This method allows one to bypass having the mastery of Bankai or other possible abilities which a captain would otherwise be required to have knowledge of, for it allows no judgment from captains who would require those skills as a prerequisite to join their ranks. Though rare in other Divisions, the Eleventh Division has been set up to exclusively utilize this method, with each captain attaining their rank by killing their predecessor in combat. With Aizen, there might be a 4th way. He introduced his shikai to the Captains of the Gotei 13 and either "showed" them his bankai as an illusion. Or made them see things that would make them approve of him as captain. I'm saying this, because people were warning Ichigo about Aizens Shikai, but nobody told him anything about his Bankai. Which was always strange to me considering taishu to be the recommended way of becoming a Captain. The points above also make me question Ikkakus intelligence. He cannot be forced to become Captain, so he doesn't have to hide his Bankai. He is simply eligible for a position as a Captain. Same goes for Renji after his fight with Byakuya. However they would propably both fail, since the Bankai are obviously very weak and in an incomplete state. Btw I am very impressed with Rukia becoming the Captain of the 13th squad. She not only aquired her Bankai WAY later than Renji and Ikkaku, but also her Bankai might be even harder to master then Yamamotos... I really hope they will show her mastered Bankai in the new manga.
Hopefully in Hell Arc, we get to see Kyoka's Bankai! 🙏
My theory for his Bankai is quite simple. I have come up with a small yet outlandish Bankai theory. Sosuke Aizen's Bankai is that of manipulating causality and reality itself. In my view, I can say that if he were to release his Bankai against anyone - or anything, it would make him superior. All senses, previously like his Shikai, interrupted and placed into a REAL illusion that he created. Think of it like the Great Tree in Naruto where it creates these "dreams"/"nightmares" for those who are trapped in it. Instead it is simply done through the release of his Bankai.
Such a beautiful weapon that fucked over so many peoples lives. I think I’m gonna cry a bit man lol!
I don't know if Aizen is inspired by Madara Uchiha or if vice versa but Kyoka Suigetsu is like the better version of Infinitie Tsukuyomi with the weakness of not witnessing it or making sure you touch the blade before activation
I personally think it was all apart of Aizen's plan.
Oh yeah I forgot Kyoka Suigetsu doesn't work on you if you're blind or if you touch it.
Can you analyze Obeto Uchiha
Naruto:Mangekyo Sharingan Izanagi affects oneself Izanami affects opponent Bleach: Kyoka Suigetsu Shikai affects opponents Bankai affects oneself ( probably)
