The Start-up Aiways was founded 2017 in China. Already in 2020, the company presented the electric SUV Aiways U5 that went on sale in China an d Germany. Now, Aiways is also distributing the U5 to other European markets and Israel (list below).
What does the Aiways U5 deliver in terms of space, practicability and value-for-money? How is the energy consumption and the charging behaviour in cold winter temperatures?

Electric motor, FWD, 150 kW (204 hp) max. power output
63 kWh Lithium-Ion-Battery
Consumption as per WLTP: 16,6 - 17,0 kWh / 100 km
Acceleration 0 - 100 kph: 7.8 sec.
Top Speed: 160 kph

Very nice review. I don't know if you mention it but I would like to ask how much horsepower does this car has and whether it is front wheel or all wheel drive.

The maximum power output is 150 kW (204 hp) and it is a FWD. Thank you very much for watching the video.

The new U5 will come over with the three-phase charger version.
Driving a Mazda Mx 30 where the OBC Ac charging speed is 6.8 kWh I charge in public charger with that speed very often. The only charging station delivering 4.5 are Mainova. But that’s not my main point. I am considering this car as it is big and the price is very friendly. But exactly the slow Ac charging speed was my problem already now and I have only 35.5 kWh battery pack. With 62 in U5 that seems ridiculous. But well I guess we get what we pay for.

Ok sorry. You said it’s limited to 1 phase.
There is a usb socket under the air vent at the back...

I didn‘t experience these, maybe an update?
I still have the problem of charging cables that don't come out when I want to finish a charge... does anyone know the solution other than removing the plastics? (which I haven't tried yet), is that the key I've already tried, but I hear the click, but it's still stuck...

I read that during or even after finishing the charging it gets stuck and you should press unlock button on ur key to remove this locked cables. Did u try that??

Aiway U5, I will need to do additional research because this video isn't very detailed.
no navigation, you need to use your smartphone. But then Android Auto is not available??? And even when you use your phone, it's wired, so while you're using it you can't use the wireless charging station??? This is an unforgiveable mistake, and it's the only reason I won't be buying one.
