Aiwa TPR-200H Speaker Replacement & New Belts. Vintage Radio Cassette Repair. Boombox Restoration

Hi Folks,
Here's a pretty rare Aiwa TPR-200H. It had potential, but the cassette player was inoperative and there was barely any sound output. It was also in need of a deep polish.
Join me as I get the unit back up and running, restoring it to it's former glory. I recorded this a while back, and am currently working through my backlog of repair video productions so I can crack on with the big projects.

Thank you! Will do! I'm currently playing catch-up, so there's a few old ones coming through. Then it's on to the meaty stuff 😁👍📻

Another great video and restoration, this one gave you a good run, it seems like the speaker you installed is better than the stock speaker, great job, I think the jvc 838 might be easier to restore, looking forward to the next video

Yes this one was a lot more trouble than I expected! I think if I did another one, I'd tackle it more like a Sharp GF-8080, and just de-solder a bunch of wires first. But you live and learn. The new speaker is actually nice and warm with a real thump, and I probably didn't do it justice in the video. In theory, I reckon the 838 will be easier, but the switching/electronics might be more complicated. I'm trying to work through some older videos this month (still really nice machines, but filmed before I moved into my workshop), so then it's all systems go with the big boomboxes 😄👍📻
