AITA for wanting dogs to go into grocery stores? (React Court)
This came from my livestream on March 2nd, 2022. Catch me live every weekday from 11AM-4PM here: / northernlion
I wanted to mix up my content a little bit and I figured, what better way to use my unique brand of judgemental gaze than to read the top posts on one of the most entertaining subreddits out there: r/AmITheAsshole? Check it out!

I love how AITA posters say "on a throwaway cuz significant other uses reddit" and then proceed to list out every detail of their lives for context.
NL slowly piecing together why dogs shouldnt be in grocery stores is so funny to me for some reason
As someone who loves dogs even I think bringing you're pet into a grocery store is not okay. Unfortunately you can't trust every owner to have a perfectly well behaved dog so it's better for everyone to just not allow them in the store at all. Nobody should have to worry about their children being bit or having an allergic reaction when getting groceries. There's no reason you can't just leave your dog at home for a couple hours.
Holy shit, seeing NL's chat confuse "the 19th century" with "the 1900s" proves everything I've ever thought about the intelligence of twitch chat.
"I refuse to use this as a teaching moment for my son, because he isn't an adult that should know all of these things yet" Im so glad that at 18 you instantly learn everything about social dynamics and you don't have to be taught slowly over time
I don't think grocery store workers should ever have to clean up dogshit so for that reason I agree with not letting in dogs
react court and other podcastable content is absolutely S-tier for tasks like housework and laundry
“How hard can your job possibly be” are brave words for a Twitch Streamer.
I love how often the age and gender are irrelevant and how often the redditors put it down in their stories
The moments before NL reads the comments on each post is peak tension build up, ultimate in cinema. You never know how the mystery will unfurl until the comments are shown
A lot of people on the subreddit do not realize that you can be right but still be an asshole
the guy who wasn't happy for his wife when she got her ged made me so fuckin mad lmao
"they aren't outwardly bigoted"
For anyone wondering, the person with the grandma born before 1900 said their grandma had their dad at 40, and their dad had them at an older age than that. So conservatively, if their grandma was born in the 1890s, the poster could have been born in the 70s or 80s.
"This is really dramatic for an old person to write." The sincerity in your voice had me rolling.
You can't expect every dog owner to have a well behaved pet. As someone who worked in a pharmacy where pets were allowed, I've had to clean up dog excrements from alleys several times and I've had to remove food items that dogs got into from the isle. That's not even including the fact that some people are terrified of dogs and would have to wait for the customer to leave before they felt comfortable going into a section of the store.
The story about the kid making fun of his classmate’s food might not be bait, I used to teach at a private school and those parent teacher conferences sounded a bit like the OP

Imagine trying to buy a choclate bar from the lowest shelf and it’s covered in dog saliva
The rumors of React Court’s demise were well founded
