We all look more like our dads, and people are always surprised to find out we’re siblings & honestly there’s been multiple times that people straight up don’t believe us. She said earlier in the post that she looks different from her sister so I could see the bio dad not realizing

I get that the sisters don’t look alike, but even if them sharing a surname didn’t tip him off, you have to remember that he was involved with the mother too. The sister and mother probably look similar because OP is the odd one out in the family. Also, if the sister is the type of person to post pictures with her s/o on social media, I doubt she hasn’t posted anything with her family.

I think the "insert trait here" situation was nonspecific because she has asked multiple times about different traits (red hair, maybe widows peak, etc) that there were maybe too many things different about her to list

I'm Lowkey wondering if the mom kept this a secret from OP's half sister because she was seeing them dating as an opportunity for them to get close again and start up their affair again...

Obviously when she says “insert trait” she’s saying whatever given trait she was talking about at the time like if she has different color eyes or different shaped nose or literally any trait. She’s not trying to hide anything like what exactly was unclear about that..?

Yeah I don’t get how she didn’t get that either. It was pretty freaking obvious what she meant!

I took "insert trait here" to mean multiple traits, like being ginger, having a widow's peak etc. Basically she is spitting image of her BioDad, whereas the rest of the siblings take after their shared mother and/or the OP's adoptive father/their father.

If I was in that position and my mother said that I would totally respond, "Yeah... untrustworthy? LOL. That's golden... at least I did not cheat on my husband and had someone else's baby... *insert loud laugh*"

But who was the secret affair being kept from, if not the sister? Mom knew, dad knew, bio-dad knew, op knew... so, the only person left is the sister, who deserved to know who she's dating. Oh God, and there's no way bio-dad didn't realize he was sleeping with his daughter's half-sister, is there? If mom figured it out, surely he did, too. So, yeah, no way can you let your poor sister be in the middle of this mess without knowing what everyone else knows already.

The mom is still screwing him. I'm convinced by the way she reacted. Or she still has some feelings towards him.

Sorry if the dad didn't want to be a part of the daughter's life, then he doesn't get to date anyone in her family. Best revenge would be going after dad for back child support. not sure if she could, but it would definitely stop him from messing with her life any more

Honestly the mom should have never asked the daughter to keep this a secret in the first place. Imagine having to hide the fact you have a different bio dad from your siblings that is a huge burden. The mom of was unreasonable and selfish even before the other daughter started dating the bio dad.

I don't say this lightly, I have mental health stuff myself, but I feel like the mom has to have a personality disorder or some kind of issue for her to have reacted like this. That is just.... not whatcha do. And the sister was just cool about it like "whoops, nevermind, back to tinder". So mom needs to go do some soul searching

Plus what was the mom's expectation? That no one else in the family, it's unclear if there are other siblings, would find out about her affair until she died or something? This is honestly hilarious to me cause my mom had a son 12 years before I was born, and for her own privacy kept it away from my sister and I. I found out due to a medical filing error that brought it to light, the first thing I said was, ‘Mom you shoulda told me what if I ended up dating him!!’

Imagine if they had got married it would of effected her and the dad that accepted the affair. Yeh this man first took your wife and now your daughter how could the mum be okay with this it doesn’t seem like she really cares about anyone’s feelings in that family.

Yeah , I was wondering where he is in this scenario. If I had forgiven my wife for an affair and adopted the affair child . And then she wanted to continue l to have the man she cheated with bang my daughter just to save face for herself and then have tha audacity to call someone else a traitor for exposing her , that would be the last straw for sure. I’m thinking he’s probably dead. Cause how else would his opinion on the matter be that irrelevant to the story ? Unless he doesent know and his wife is only making the “traitor” comments when he isn’t around , which would make her even more of an asshole

The "insert trait here" is most likely because she had multiple traits that are different than the other siblings. i.e freckles, red hair, blue eyes, paler skin, etc. That's probably why she didn't list them all
