A lot of people are still nervous because the original creators left the project early on, but I saw an interview from the creators of the live action series that the animated creators left on good terms. The live action series creators said they had many meetings where they could kind of pick the brains of the animated creators and really understand what the fans want. Both groups agreed they wanted this show to be it's own thing because there truly isn't any way to do the original show justice with a shot for shot remake, which is what the audience would be expecting with the original creators on board. I think we can tell from this trailer that the live action show creators are indeed making this show their own thing, but staying true to the heart of the animated show and still giving the fans the scenes and characters they want. I'm very optimistic about what we're going to get!

I can’t even lie, I was extremely disappointed when I heard the original creators left the project. Kind of lost all hope, BUT after seeing the teaser/official trailer not to mention the cast’s chemistry…I have high hopes that this will be an amazing series.

Every true fans of the show will be emotional watching the trailer. The nostalgic from the music is really hit us 😅

It seems like the actors studied the speech patterns of the cartoon VAs. Their voice might not sound alike but you can easily recognize who it is with the way they talk.

I am so with you! This trailer was amazing. I loved Azulas 2 frames she got lmao. She’s such a character i really want to see and who i was worried about before. Im glad she might play a bigger role now! Im very curious what the Sokka humor might be. Ive seen his interviews and he actually naturally seems like a funny person, so i hope it is translated well in the show! So excited !

it looks like the live action azula doesn't have any problem with herself that we didn't know until season 3 which means she's filling her role. i'll be rooting for my girl

i can be happy with everything we see in this trailer so long as the acting is solid pls 😭😭 it was the vocal direction that sold so much of avatar's conflict in the og series, i don't even remember laughing during zuko's thunderstorm meltdown in s2 bc of how distraught dante basco sounded in that moment, though the visual was goofy enough to spawn memes! it's that and the writing of the dialogue that's going to be the true test for me

YES this is definitely a huge one for me as well. I’m hoping them trying to convey something that was previously animated into real emotion (mainly the humor) isn’t corny in live action form 😅

The bow is a great thing for azulas character for me, think of zuko also being skilled with swords, it makes sense that azula would have training in a weapon aswel, and what better weapon for perfection seeking azula to learn then a bow requiring precision and accuracy. Loved this trailer.

If you havent seen it yet, i highly recommend watching the creators break down the trailer! They mentioned how they wanted to go more in depth and show certain scenes like when zuko got his scar and the battle between monk gyatso and the firenation. They also said that it was important to them to have different bending styles. Iron, Zuko, Azula, and Ozai all have subtle differences between each of their bending. I didn't want to get my hopes up too much but I'm more excited after seeing the care that went into making it!

Sozin is fighting Gyatso... look on the ground while Sozin is firebending, and you see dead Firebenders. Gyatso isn't afraid to kill in self defense.

In the show, Sozin never said that he personally fought the Air Nomads, but they did hint that the lone ship sailing over the submerged iceberg was Sozin in his remaining days of obsession over finding the Avatar. I have no disbelief towards the idea of Sozin personally ending the Air leaders like Giatso.

I teared up too for both the teaser and the full trailer. 😅 This has been in my top 5 of animated stories/series since it first came out, so I’m an OG fan right along with ya. ❤🙌 Excited to see a live action version ….because there has NEVER been a live action …never…so it’ll be cool to see their efforts. One thing I noticed that they didn’t show, which I’m really excited to see, is Koh. Hei Bai already looks intense enough, so Koh should be horrifying. I love this reaction, bending looks fenomenal imo. I want to hear Iron's voice cuz the narrative is Monk Gyatso)). I was literally crying, the moment where Aang crying holding to Appa looks touching😢 And I love it. Also I can already see the chemistry between the Gaang😄. When i first watched the trailer, i didn't connect much with it because I'm not really into action, and i love atla because of the special essence from the storytelling and character dynamics. But after seeing cast interviews, i felt like i could get to know the cast better, so im hopeful. After seeing breakdown videos and reaction videos, im pretty darn excited. I love the idea of them expanding storylines.
