AIS Gala 2023 Honoree Dr. Philip Ozuah

Our 17th annual gala was a warm and engaging evening hosted by Emily Blunt. We honored Dr. Philip O. Ozuah, MD, PhD with our Freeing Voices, Changing Lives Award.
Dr. Ozuah, a person who stutters, helms Montefiore Einstein, the umbrella organization for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Health System’s 13 hospitals and 300 ambulatory sites. A nationally recognized physician, researcher, and author, Dr. Ozuah leads an organization with 10,000 physicians and 53,000 employees serving diverse patients.

    That’s why many trembled at our sight because we hold resiliency deep in our core! The more hardships we encounter the more stronger we become to resist more atrocities. This is who you are Dr. Ozuah , a representation of many African heros in the medical field! Congratulations!!!
