AIRSTREAM LIFE: Day Trip to LUBEC, Maine 🇺🇸 & CAMPOBELLO ISLAND, New Brunswick 🇨🇦
Join us as we take a day trip to Lubec, Maine, the easternmost town in the contiguous United States, and cross into Canada to visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Once we arrive at Roosevelt Campobello International Park, we'll take a tour of the Roosevelt Cottage, the summer home of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family. The cottage and the surrounding grounds offer a unique glimpse into the life of one of America's most iconic presidents. After the tour, we'll have time to explore the rest of the park and take in the natural beauty of the area. Along the way, we'll make stops at two iconic lighthouses, the Head Harbour Lighthouse in Canada and the West Quoddy Lighthouse in the United States. Both lighthouses offer a glimpse into the rich maritime history of the region and provide stunning views of the coast. Thanks for watching and your comments. We believe that RV travel is one of the more affordable ways to travel. Not saying it is cheap, but you could make the case that it is much cheaper than airlines & hotels. Have a great weekend and safe travels. 🙂
My parents own a summer house in Wilson's Beach, Campobello Island. You passed right by it as you drove up toward the Head Harbour Light, a small blue and white house on Matthews Lane. I've spent numerous summers there seeing the area and taking in the scenery, and even commissioned an artist friend of mine there to paint the view from the deck my father and I made. It hangs at home in Florida above my computer, there to see and remind me of this place.

Thank you for sharing such a great memory. You are a very lucky person to have spent Summers on Campobello Island. We really enjoyed our visit, it is such a lovely place and the people are so nice. We can’t wait to go back.
