Several changes are planned during the Paris 2024 Olympics. From March onwards, the assembly of the structures for the competition areas and the opening ceremony will begin progressively. Understand what will change for those who will visit Paris during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Dates and predictions:
🔹La Concorde area:
01/03 Start of assembly on the east side. The assembly will progressively extend throughout the Place de la Concorde until 01/06.
01/06 Closing of traffic for cars, pedestrians and cyclists.
From 10/29 to 10/30 Dismantling and progressive release of the area.
🔹Trocadéro Area - Eiffel Tower - Champ-de-Mars
04/01 Start of assembly in the square where the fountains are located on the Champ-de-Mars (closed to cars and pedestrians). Assembly will continue progressively until 01/07.
20/03 Start of assembly at Place de Varsovie (in front of the Trocadéro). Progressive closure of the Trocadéro gardens from 20/03 to 01/07
01/06 Closing of traffic on the Pont d'Iéna (bridge in front of the Tower)
24/06 Closing of traffic on Avenue Jacques Chirac (avenue in front of the Eiffel Tower)
From 19/09 to 04/11 Dismantling and progressive release of the area.
🔹Grand Palais Area - Pont Alexandre III - Invalides
12/04 Start of assembly on the lawn in the south-east region of Place des Invalides. Assembly will be progressive until 06/17.
26/04 Start of assembly in the region of the Alexandre III bridges and Pont des Invalides with closure between these two bridges.
17/05 Closing of the Alexandre III bridge to vehicles (accessible to pedestrians)
From 12/09 to 26/10 Dismantling and progressive release of the area.
