    Also the people who guide the plane out are called wing walkers and they alert you to stop the pushback if there are any issues or obstructions in the way. That’s why they have the wands. And the guy who has the headphones plugged into the plane does that so he can communicate with the pilot and let the pilot know to release the parking brake at the start of pushback and also to let them know when the pushback has ended and when the tug is disconnected so they can start the engines and begin the taxi.

    Hey Trevor, I’m a aircraft mechanic for united airlines I see how interested you are on learning planes I’ll be happy to answer questions for you if you have any. Like the door on the right aft side of the APU . That’s the APU inlet door. That allows air to enter to provide cooling for the APU and provide bleed air for the engine start or cabin air conditioning.

    I gotta say, this was hilarious to watch. I do this for a living on a military base, and you didn't do too bad. The push back was interesting to say the least lol. Normally you would tow the tow bar from the rear, then unhook it at the aircraft, hook it to the aircraft and push from the front, then reverse everything and drive away, but your way works too lol.

    I used to work at an airport as a grounds crew agent. A few things you did that are wrong when on the tarmac. First was the tug and the GPU. When you connect the GPU to the airplane, the GPU cannot be connected to the tug. That's a three-way connection and frowned upon. The next things is the pushback. So airports do have tugs that can do the pushback but the main thing is that you should have pulled the pushback bar to the airplane, connected it, and then hooked up to it pushback vehicle. When pushing back the aircraft, you are in complete control of it. Take your time when doing it, slower is better so you can place the plane in the correct position. Last but not least, I dont know why the game didn't have you pull the pin out of the aircraft. When you pull the pin, it tells the pilot that the pushback is over and they havs full control of the aircraft.

  • @AutoRauto

    That's strange that three way connections are frowned upon at your airport, here they are encouraged

  • @Jwestme37

    @Jwestme37

    @@AutoRauto I don't recall what the reason was as to why we couldn't have a three way connection (I will find out though). All I know is that we couldn't have the tug and the GPU connected while the GPU was connected to the aircraft along with the other service items such as the lav cart and the air start.

  • @Jwestme37

    @Jwestme37

    @@AutoRauto I asked my trainer at the airport and she said we don't want a three-way connection because we could easily pull away with the GPU connected damaging the aircraft, the GPU, the tug, or all three

    I used to be an airport heavy equipment mechanic for the cargo side of an airport. For the towing issue you need to attach the tow bar to the back of the bison and get it close to the front of the plane. Then detach the tow bar from the back of the bison and attach it to the front so you’re able to push the plane back.
