AIRPORT LOUNGE Review - Privium Lounge Amsterdam Schiphol - Day Pass for $60
It is July of 2022 and even though masks and mandatory testing have all but disappeared, the effects of covid are still very evident inside airports. Understaffing, overbooked flights, delays, and cancellations have led to quite a bit of chaos. If you find yourself stuck in an airport for several hours, you might want to check out your options for one of the lounges. I used to think they are only for travelers flying first class or with some other kind of elite status, but that’s actually not the case. Many lounges will let you buy a day pass if the capacity will allow, and on my recent flight through the madness that is Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, I checked out the Privium Lounge. This is an airport lounge not sponsored by any airline. I walked in and bought a 3 hours pass for €60, which is about $65 USD. Want to see what I got for that? Just keep watching! #airport #travel #upgrade

I was an expat in The Netherlands for four years. I flew (a lot) to China, India and the US My Dutch company always booked me in Business Class. I always went to the KLM lounge. Met (and dated) a few lovely KLM hostesses. Hey now!😀
Showed in an Airport? Yes, Narita has bedroom suites with showers you can rent. My wife and I used them regularly because we usually worked till noon, then a 3 to 4 bus ride to Narita. We both needed to freshen up before that 10 to 12 hr flight to the states.
Well worth it for the time you had. Thanks for sharing your experience in the lounge!
Having a shower at any stage of your flight is one of the main reasons for getting into a lounge. I've used showers at LAX United Lounge between international and domestic flights; at Dubai in transit between a flight from Australia and one to Italy; and probably the best was before the flight back from Italy, where we had driven for most of the day to get to the airport on a hot Italian summer's day.... the shower made us feel human again before getting onto the 22 hour jouney back to Australia.

Wow! You get around!
I really enjoy the lounge, especially if it’s busy. It’s so calm, nice bathrooms, food is good, and it helps to have a nice workspace.
Totally worth it and I am going to use it while transitting through Amsterdam this coming Aug. and on my return in October. Great information. Thank you Morgan
If I ever had a long layover or my flight left super late, I would certainly do it. The two times I've had the ability to use an Airport lounge I loved it. I'm just never in an airport long enough to need one.
Bundaberg ginger beer! Their Christmas time spiced one is awesome!
The food looks better than some of the cruiseline offerings! And SO worth it. Thanks Morgan.
I’d say it’s worth it whenever you have a longer layover. Thanks for the tour and info!
Like a bathroom in a Times Square movie theater in 1988 lol
Lounges are always worth it, so much more comfortable than sitting in the general areas.
Definitely worth it! When traveling international I travel in business so have access to a longe but this one looks a lot nicer than any I’ve been in.
Love the lounges.
With the chaos currently going on in airports these days, I can see some value to a day pass. When I had a job where I flew all the time it was a great value to me to belong to a lounge. Just getting a free snack, a drink or coffee easily paid for the membership.
Totally worth it. I have lounge access included on my credit card and love it.
I'm often in AMS for an int'l flight, so I go to the KLM lounge a bit. The MSP Sky Club if my flight is later (once delayed, another time I decided last-minute to fly to Barcelona through AMS instead of JFK).
Lounges are great I’ve only been twice but if you have the time you can totally get your money worth. The last lounge I went to was the Alaska lounge at sfo. My wife has a cobranded credit card so it was only 50$ total for the two of us. We each had two adult beverages and coffee. For food it was a little slim but we weren’t hungry when we left. There were a few pastries, hard boiled egg, yogurt and a fresh pancake machine. We left with a few snacks for the plane. You could easily spend as much money in the terminal and you would be eating McDonald’s drinking Starbucks sitting on the floor using a random wall plug.
Thanks for sharing. Question - were all the drinks (including the alcoholic ones) free? You put your "everything is free" disclaimer just before you mentioned them, so I was wondering about this.
Excellent video. I was wondering if I should change to a amx that includes airport lounges. Fun & Budget also talk about it. Also me and husband backpack would have been heavier lol. You paid for it why not.
Totally worth the purchase
Love Schiphol airport and the private lounge.
Totally worth it, if just for the peace and quiet.
I have taken a shower in the American Airlines Admirals Clubs in DFW, ORD and CLT. Also, I did take one at The Club at DFW and ATL. It was really neat.
If I ever travel by plane again, I’d certainly look into it. I hate crowds! I love ‘free’ food! And a free adult bevvy sounds awesome!
This would be an investment in my vacation!
Definitely a splurge but totally worth it in my opinion. I haven't used one before, but can see the value. And I would absolutely shower. Especially after a long travel day.
Check out the QuantasExec lounge in Hong Kong. I took a shower, then got a good buzz on from the free flowing booze. 👍😀🍷🥃The flight from HK to Sydney was sweeeeeeeet!
I've showered many times in louges like those. But also on the first class night trains, which no longer exist.
Looks good to me! If I had enough time between flights I think I would try. 1 Dollar=1 Euro at the moment...crazy!
Qantas lounge @ LAX prior to a 15hr flight. Well worth it!
That sounds absolutely wonderful. I had one layover I would have paid that price just to be able to take a shower.
I usually get to the airport 90 minutes before my flights--I'll have to check out whether there's a lounge available at my home airport not tied to an airline. Southwest does NOT have airport lounges.
To me that would be definitely worth the money if you stayed there for like six hours I would definitely go for it at least it’s away from all the millions of people that are standing in line out in the airport breathing on each other. I definitely would spend the money to do that I wonder what other airports that is available? Great video.
worth it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we had a several hour layover in a busy airport.. and this was available... Yah we'd do it. Honestly we'd probably be kicking ourselves if we didn't. Some snacks, a few Gin and Gingerales and some nice comfy seats. That can go a long way.

I agree!
If we can't shower we don't use that airport. It's a "must have" on our travels
Premium lounges are worth every single dollar. Use them every flight. My VISA gives me 4 passes free per year.
Considering all the crazy happening in the airports these days, well worth the price for the peace, quiet and nosh. Especially with a longish layover. #MoneyWellSpent
So you were able to take some of the food with you?

Well, technically I think you are not supposed to, but I'm sure a lot of people do!
I’ve had the opportunity to shower at an airport, but I’ve never taken advantage of it..
Who sees the guy in the beginning being upset that he is being filmed?
A shower between your long haul and connecting flight it worth any amount of money.
As nice as they are, lounges don't get you through check in and security any quicker. Consider yourself lucky you actually had time to use a lounge.

I agree, considering the chaos at Schiphol right now you can call yourself lucky to even have time left to enjoy the lounge.

Morgan you are adorableness explosion...lol...not kidding maybe just a little ;)
I would think that taking a shower would involve a lot of work. Getting your clothes out packing away dirty clothes getting your own toiletries out.

I know what you mean, but if you are traveling with just a carry on, for example, you’d have everything with you.
