In my experience when you play a stereo song with spatialise audio turned on it seems better than before! It now divide's beats and vocals better!

Checked this out on Apple Music with a rock song I always run in Dolby multi-channel (not necessarily Atmos) and the general low-end bass and punch seems to be slightly even more prominent, I could be wrong.

Yep, on Samsung as soon as connects it checks itself and if there is an update it asks if you want to go ahead and update. But Noo Apple does it the hard way, more important to make pride crap and emoji’s. Apple have forgotten how to be a company selling a product and have become political and pushing their bias’s on everyone.

Just took mine out of the case and they were already updated! That's crazy fast compared to my experience with previous AirPods updates.

It doesn't really take a lot of time to sit down and talk about an Airpod firmware update tbh.... especially when apple themselves wont even tell us what new with it. im sure Aaron has a template for his edits to speed things up but Yeah Love the videos but when KZread is your full time job like its not hard.

I've found switching AirPods Pro 2 between iPhone and Apple Watch (Ultra) to be terrible. Any insights?

For my AirPods Pro 2 Lightning version the white noise has been fixed with this firmware update so that’s very good others i noticed connectivity, maybe noise cancellation a bit better but probably because that white noise is gone when on noise cancellation so far so good.

I had been experiencing bluetooth issues with the pro 2 usb c version on my mac and iphone 15 pro max. For months the auto switching feature never worked and during facetime calls the bluetooth was always disconnecting and reconnecting and I could not hear the person on the other line, rendering them useless for calls of any kind. After this update (which I did not know about) the issues seemed to have mysteriously disappeared and I was wondering if there was some sort of update, and then boom a new video about it on my feed. I think they were waiting to do this update to prepare the airpods for the vision pro and ios 18 but threw in some fixes for niche cases like mine. Either way, great to see.

Connect to iPhone. Then start podcast from Apple Watch. Run/walk away from phone. How does that go? Do they still stay connected to watch when phone not around?

Recently they have been updating only the new Pros. Airpods 3 and older are becoming abandoned?

Hey Aaron, I don’t post much here but hopefully you’ll take a look. Have you tracked issues with the AirPods Pro 2 case and the (square) battery widgets? It’s quite an annoying bug… I have a case and the AirPods as separate square widgets and when switching between two sets of AirPods the widget’s device just gets unselected in the list and no longer work. It’s also very confusing in general if you own two pairs of AirPods because it lists the cases out as simply “AirPods Case” so you are able to tell which is which even if they have personalized names. Would be cool to see this bug get some light on it, I tried to with Apple and got nowhere.

What about the bug with the AirPods 3 where when you switch the call controls to hangup by pressing once after an hour or so it switches back to press twice. Apple acknowledged this bug when I had support on a phone call. This has been a problem since at least Oct of 2023. Still not fixed. Three pages of other users with this issue on Apple's Community discussions site.

For some that got 6FL but the case is still on the 61.3.0 FW, I don’t think there any issue but guessing the variance is between the lightning OR usb-c cases ¿ This is why there should be some details or any details on the release 📝 from 🍏

People that do say there is a change are likely meeting the placebo effect, I am not saying that's the case for everybody though. Apple does not tamper much with the ANC or Transparency. However, there was a lot of complaints surrounding the initial version of AirPods Pro because some people believed Apple had decreased the ANC performance. However, this was really a design flaw with the AirPods Pro Gen 1 ventilation system. The microphones for ANC and transparency mode are located behind these vents, so with time, debris and earwax could accumulate and disrupt ANC and transparency's performance.

They 100% fucked it up. Mine worked so good it felt like it sucked the air out of your head and then after a update it was trash you could barely tell a big difference between off and anc so thinking it was maybe broken AirPods I went to Walmart bought another pair and they worked very good again I was happy and then that night after they where updated to it went to trash again! The difference is a white noise from the speaker and voices coming through a lot easier you can actually hear the speaker letting in noise it’s squeaky. So I 100% know they nerfed it in an update and it is still not fixed with this new update. All setting have been played with to no avail.

Last 2 days is like nightmare, can't do pause, next or previous song switching to MacBook Pro M3 pro ... sometimes one airpods just don't work, need to put to the case for while and than again work. Very wired, hope they will fix this soon, thanks

On the previous version there are issues accepting and rejecting calls when announced (by saying “Yes” or “No”). Sometimes the announcement tapers off midway, and others the command is not followed at all. Wonder if that’s fixed. I do have conversation awareness on most of the time.

I have that issue as well. I thought maybe Siri assumed she was interrupting me so she stopped speaking as she sometimes stops speaking when you’re talking to someone else and she announces a message

having an issue on KZread sense update to 17.5.1 when an add comes on it’s fine after it goes back to the video however it’s a tiny little rectangle in the top left corner have to flip my phone sideways to fix iPhone 15 mp

Do you recommend not using the loud sound detection? i use it cause i assumed it'd just help with anc

It’s meant for transparency, so it brings the volume down while you’re using that if there’s something that’s overly loud. So if you just want noise cancellation, I wouldn’t use it.

Announce messages now reads the messages in the respective language i noticed, supports multiple new languages, super cool!

Lmao. That was a pain in the ass. Every time I was singing along, it lower thought I was talking. I turned it off. That was shit was annoying.

Notify when left behind for AirPod pro 2 still not available despite this upgrade😭 using 13PM. AirPod version 6F7 and case version 65.3.0. Anyone has this issue? Strangely, notify when left behind appear on my iPad Pro 12.9 but not on my I3PM.

Ive actually noticed a pretty big difference in sound, from my personal experience, music is a lot like A LOT basier. Luckily I’m a bass kinda guy so I’m actually really happy with it On the AirPods Pro 2 (Lightning)

mine were on 6F7 for the airpods but 61.3.0 on the case. But now they are 6F7 and 65.3.0, just had to leave them charging while connected to my ipad

How did you get the AirPods and Developer entries in Settings? That's not in iOS 17.5.1 on my 13 Pro. Is it a region thing, newer iPhone thing, or jailbreak thing?

You have to have Xcode and connect it to a Mac in order to see it

is it just me anytime I update my AirPods pro or AirPods Max. I always seem to have issues they need to make it much easier.

Does anyone know where to find out the latest firmware version available for the CHARGING CASE, not for the actual airpods pro which is 6F7. My CHARGING CASE shows firmware 60.82.0 but I have no idea if it is the latest as it is not published anywhere, and Apple Support is of no help, they are clueless.

Recently I got a new pair of Airpods Pro 2 type-c but the case lid feels so wiggly. Do you think this is a general problem? Also I sometimes realize that the charge levels of the right and left sides are very different, like R: 45% and L: 32%. Could you test that out for me and the people that have the same issue?

Bruh me too it feels a little cheap/flimsy idk. The charger levels could be a couple things, if you’re like me and sometimes take one bud out to hear something or just listen on one bud that will drain the other more

@@UnsoundBee Yeah exactly feels like that. About the other thing, no, I always use both of the buds at the same time and also keep both of them in the case at the same time.

Under this new firmware update transparency mode under custom transparency mode, switches off on its own after about five minutes.

After the update the locator stopped working. He sees them, then he writes here, but the sound does not play and the distance also does not show, he writes that there is no signal!

I have noticed the “Developer” section in my settings app is gone since a few developer update cycles ago (Some months back). Anyone know how to get it back?

Did anyone notice ANC getting worse after update? After the update there is almost no difference between it being turned off or on in my case, never had the issue before and I’ve had them for about a month.

My case version changed to 65.3.0 the day of upgrade to 6F7, but today it changed to to 54.26.1

Aaron, you mentioned ios18 coming out next week...I am thinking of upgrading to iphone 13- is it worth waiting for the announcement to see if there is any news that either lowers the price for the 13 or waiting for a more recent iphone? thanks

iOS 18 beta one is coming out on June 10 typically at WWDC. Public version won’t be out until September Apple doesn’t announce deals on iPhones ever they usually discount them after the next ones come out in September.

My Airpods Pro 2nd Gen USBC (model A3048) still show previous firmware 6B34 and case firmware 6.0.82.0 eventhough I've done what you suggested. Any way to force the update? UPDATE: Firmware just updated to 6F7 but case firmware still on 6.0.82.0 . Any way to check what is the latest firmware version for the case? Thanks

Air pods sound much better after the update

Seems like you're getting some hiccups/stuttering too on iOS 17.5.1, I noticed. It's ridiculous we're getting it in two major iOS updates 16 and 17.

It seems like the noise reduction is worse. I switch between transparency and noise reduction and the difference is less pronounced. Background noise reduction doesn’t seem to work nearly as well. I hear background noises that I didn’t used to hear before, and the reduction is not nearly as strong.

the noise cancellation has been dogshit since about 4 months since they launched. Fuckin scam from apple advertising how good their ANC is. I can literally hear paper rubbing together. It doesn't cancel ANY noise.

I use the ANC on these to go shooting. Works great

I’m 90% certain that that doesn’t work, it may sound quieter but it’s still doing all the same damage to your ears. I would recommend getting some proper ear protection
