Airlift/Tanker Symposium Seminar: Women in Leadership

Maj. Gen. Laura Lenderman, U.S. Transportation Command director of operations, Birg. Gen. Rebecca Sonkiss, 618th Air Operations Center commander, Col. Angela Ochoa, 19th Airlift Wing commander, Maj. Kirby Wedan, 14th Airlift Squadron director of operations, Chief Master Sgt. Rebecca Bateman, 628th Air Base Wing command chief, and Anna Card, Air Mobility Command chief of resources and capability division, share their experiences and perspectives as female leaders within the Air Force during the Airlift/Tanker Symposium in Denver, Colo., Oct. 28, 2022. This year’s A/TA Symposium brought together Air Force senior leaders, industry partners, media, partner nations representing, Airmen with mobility equities, to include cross command representation from Air Force Special Operations Command and Air Force Education Command. The open environment drove discussion on issues and challenges facing America and the Air Mobility community at large, with a specific focus on the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility and the mobility joint force requirements that will yield safety and security for the nation.
