There seems to be some resistance in the airgun community to M.O.A. accuracy or ctc .5" groups at 50 yards even with $2,000+ airguns. There are some in airgun nation forums from 2019 who seem to think 1inch ctc at 100 yards with a powder burner is some kind of rare thing. I say if you can't put a powder burner or air rifle in a LEAD SLED and get 1" ctc at 100 yards with powder burner and .5" ctc at 50 yards with an air rifle especially an air rifle above $500 dollars it's time to realize we are being ripped off.

Yep! Even my single shot $200 Beeman Chief unregulated can produce 1/2" groups or better at 50yd all day and 1" groups at 100yd....it's all about the $$$ and people making claims about something they don't actually have expertise in...there is a difference, like you mentioned 22lr ...my 10/22 factory carbine with CCI SVs pisses people off all the time cause they got tricked to believe everything has to be changed to achieve match accuracy and that is not true, just someone with skill ....in ARA 50yd Factory class I'm tailing bolt actions with match ammo and it averages 1800s that's all oem parts

Oh Yes, Love Mine! A barrel band right at the end of the barrel solved my POI shift. I tuned mine down to 1400 PSI and 1/1/4 turn in on the HS. Shooting 18.13 JSBs @ 820 FPS it's a tack driver. I can fill to 4000 PSI and shoot until it falls off the reg. You know the tune is right when the gun calms down, feels smooth and gets nice and quiet, everything's ZEN.

I hadn't thought of slugs yet in .25 but if my Avenger's 'old' spring breaks ... well maybe it won't with ~26g pellets. lol I like the 2400 psi reg setting and not going to extremes with hammer spring tension. It's consistent accuracy I want, not the most power. WIMI I'd like to get the 900 fps I see many YT'ers getting in .22 & .25, but If I'm grouping well in the 800s I'm good.

Yeah these guns aren't meant for the power or speed with the barrel twist rate being slow (1:18) they like slugs and pellets just floating around 800s otherwise it's a waste of air /energy retainment

Do you know approx when they made the change to a heavier spring? I ordered mine a couple months ago (end of April) and no you have me wondering which spring I have. Any plans to install your barrel bands and baffle set? I'm interested in the results plus you don't advertise much so it could help sales too.

They changed over to the silver spring probably about 2 years ago or more...far as I tracked it, the original springs were black from like 2020 - 2022 ...yea I try not to be a product pusher, I test til I get it right then release it to public, I definitely thought about having an online store but I just don't have the extra time to fill more orders than usual since it's just me and I stay pretty busy...haha I prefer shooting more than filling orders or working on guns even though I can

@@ALLABOUTAIRGUNS Ok cool, I was just lookin' out for ya. But if you're happy, your happy and that is what matters. Are you going to install them on this gun (without pushing them) or keep it stock for a while?

👍 Haven't decided yet...it's shooting great as is, definitely take off probe orings soon cause they're getting flat and put an oring delete on, might tinker with my baffle set or barrel band sometime in the near future

How you been James i wanted to know why you never buy more of a higher end PCP like a Cricket or a Taipan something like that. Im not saying the Avenger isnt good cause they are but why dont you try something else with more quality just to see if you like them more my friend.

Just can't justify the cost, money isn't the issue...especially how well I get budget guns to shoot, I went with a FX Maverick about 2 years ago and after defective guns...I couldn't see myself ever spending that much on one airgun again (over $1400 shipped at that time) and people of course said well you should have bought it here or there but why do I have to pay more from another supplier to have a gun that works? You don't go to a car dealership and buy a brand new car that's not driveable??? No matter the trim level or package, car still starts up, drives, and no issues...not the case in the airgun world...1st Maverick had a bad regulator , 2nd Maverick barrel was bent...I understand things happen in manufacturering BUT if any airgun company or people want to put labels on brands and ultimately say they're better or best because of the quality compared to a Chinese made item that's not true at all especially if the skill level isn't there and I've proved that time and time again

@ALLABOUTAIRGUNS I totally understand and agree with you James that's why I never bought a FX gun because I hear of all the problams with leaking Orings and so on but I hear nothing but good things about the TAIPAN TACTICAL being very reliable and very accurate, that's one gun I do want in the future. I own a EDGUN R3M in 25 caliber and it's a good gun so far never had any problam with it but I don't shoot as much as I use to. But Edguns are pretty reliable James cause I use to own the Leshyi Classic and the Edgun Leyla 2.0 and they were very reliable also and so so easy to do anything that goes wrong with it. I couldn't believe how easy they are to take apart and replace Orings or regulator even though I never had to because of them failing but I would replace Orings after so long. Your a good guy James and I really enjoy your channel I just wish you would do more videos and maybe try to get differant airgun companies to let you do reviews on some of the differant ones out there. Take care my friend love you bud.
