Love the view its a great view

The distance compression effect with telephoto lenses is pretty amazing here as it almost looked like the plane was hovering and doing a near vertical descent.

What a magnificent jet. If the 747 is the queen of the skies then the A380 is the king.

I'm more impressed by the clarity of the shot from 5 kilometers away. The foreshortening effect makes the 2.5 km runway seem short. A top down view on Google Earth restores your perspective.

I remember as an aircrew member landing in 1957 at nice airport with a passenger from aircraft cattier who was sick in a us navy Tom aircraft

This is always my favorite airport. You look out one side of the plane and you see the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea; you look out the other side and you see the wonderful Maritime Alps.

It"s an optical illusion The two Nice airport runways are almost 3 kilometers long.

Strange how depth perception can deceive you. When the airbus first came into view, it appeared it would overfly the airport. Nice video. Great view.

J'ai eu la grande chance de vivre à Nice. Et je peux affirmer que c'est un des plus beaux endroits pour observer l'atterrissage des avions. Lorsque le vent vient de l'Ouest les avions atterrissent côté Baie des Anges. Alors il suffit de choisir un banc sur la Promenade des Anglais et le spectacle est garanti!

À Nice il ne faut surtout pas rater l'atterrissage, sinon c'est direct fin de course dans la méditerranée, mais j'adore cet aéroport, le décollage est fabuleux avec la vue sur la ville et en hiver en arrière plan les montagnes enneigées c'est magique. Super vidéo 😎

Belle approche et landing en 04 :) Et oui, NCE est un aéroport sur l'eau, entre mer et montage, ce qui complique l'approche avec les montagnes et obstacles, sans oublier les vents.. Et une approche encore plus spectaculaire en procédure 22 . Excellente vidéo :)

Telelens does the magic!

The very fact that you can't hear a jumbo 4 engine aircraft landing and going on reverse thrust is a testimony to the distance of the aircraft from the filming point and the power of the telephoto lens; also gives you an idea of the length of the runway . Could have done with the sound though.

Don't think its a very hard plane to fly tbh besides CRM playing an important role.

Plane looks like it's hovering over the airport forever, then lands on a runway that looks about 2 blocks long. Crazy angle and telephoto lens.
