**PLEASE READ** New project we commence in collaboration with the people of Global Training Aviation. Big stuff here, many people involved (managers, pilots, instructors, media...) and many hours of work behind the scenes. I'm very happy to present what we're doing with GTA - although I was very nervous the day we filmed this first video - and proud to expand the contents of the channel. We will have real A320, B737 and ATR pilots and instructors to help us understand how these aircraft operate in normal conditions but also in emergency situations. Let us know what particular operation you'd like to see and we will work it through fully explained. Any airport you'd like us to fly to? Also please show some support to these videos if you'd like to watch more. It is very important that we see you like it for us to keep working on filming more and more in the cockpit. Thank you and see you soon! PS: Count the many times I said "basically" along the video and you'll get the heart!!! HAHAHA =D

It would be awesome if you could simulate the JFK - MEX(Mexico City) Flight. I would love to see the arrival because from my point of view as passenger, the airplane flies too low (due to the dense population) above the streets, and I want to know what the procedure of a pilot is.
Times I said "basically" during the video... ||| ||| V

Haha! You're not the only one. That's one word I have been consciously trying to stop saying. I find you can usually just omit it without changing anything else. ("Basically, the sky is blue" vs. "The sky is blue")

Hi! I'm a controller from wuhan, as of today, I've been quarantined at home for 40 days or so. I've gotta nothing meanful to do except watching and learning from your channel every single day , hope one day I can serve foreign pilots with such fluent English and ATC related skills just as many briliant controllers do in your channel, and I love this new project you guys are producing particularly, can't wait to see more! Great Job!

Hi @VASAviation, this is amazing idea. I am just a flight sim pilot (yet), but I think this is exactly that kind of videos flight sim pilots will appreciate. And great that you just did this high level overview video, so we would not get lost in details. Looking forward for next videos about each panel/unit in detail. And I would like to see how to bring airplane from dark and cold to takeoff, including some explanation, what does what, what would happen, if it was not done or if there is any alternative to that particular action in some special case (e.g. difference in brakes or thrust settings between sunny hot weather and storm takeoff)
My son got me a new computer AND the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator for Christmas. I am having a blast with it but want to learn more (like what some of the basic flight controls, gauges, displays, etc. do.). I stumbled upon this video because I am focusing on the A320. Like a previous comment said, this was just enough but not overwhelming information...little snippets of info is good for this ole man :-) I look forward to learning more from you guys. Thank you!
Very nice! Looking forward to the next video.

I know it's gonna take a while since you have to explain/show so many other thing before but, could you please make a video of how to manage a total (double for those planes) engine failure? I think it could be interesting for people afraid to fly if they already are sure that other minor failures should not cause a very big problem until landing Thanks for your amazing work!
Very helpful. Liked and sunscribed.

Back in 1995 I self sponsored my UK CPL and then ATPL and became a Turboprop Captain for around ten years. I always wanted to become an airline pilot, however, looking back, I wish that I had decided upon another career. Disadvantages were numerous - roster disruptions, poor pay, early starts/late finishes, base changes, inadequate company management and quite often sitting on a flight deck for hours on end in the middle of the night. Make sure that this is for you before it is too late to do something more enjoyable or profitable.
This is fucking amazing, thank you

Here’s a very silly idea. Try to get the “aircraft” to spit out like 5 ECAM messages over time, either by making the simulator trigger goofs in the plane, or by pressing random buttons until something goes all funky, derpy, glitchy and funny.

The ECAM is the system, but the information is presented on the MFD, is this correct ?
@PistolPackingPilot
4 жыл бұрын
Edwyn Felipe Avellaneda No. There is no MFD on the A320. There’s an ND and there’s also an upper and a lower ECAM. The upper ECAM is the EWD (engine warning display) and the lower is the the SD (systems display). When shit goes wrong messages appear on the the EWD and then the system schematic appears on the SD. It also shows how the system has automatically compensated (if able) for each specific failure.

Everything is digital these days.. what I'm wondering and it's maybe a stupid question to you.. if those monitors (that shows heading, height, ..) are out of any reason not working, do you have any analog devices (like a simple compass) on board, that would help you out?

Just out of curiosity how low can the A320 altimeter barometer go? There was a rare low pressure system at 944 hPa a few weeks ago that prevented a regional airline from operating their fleet for a day as their instrument could only be adjusted down to 948 hPa.
The ECAM, which is electronic... Oh yes, that's true
