oh man, i loved the commentary. Sounds like much of what i got through when im trying a project. good job.
cool Greg! I havn't had my air brushes out in years.
Beautiful work,i love it.i love it,very cool. Thanks for sharing your experience.!!👍💡😀
Your lighting bolt painting skills will be in hot demand with more people converting some of their old cars into electric rod conversions. Thank you for showing the mistakes along with the successes. You don't get good until you muck up first and learn from it.
That looks very cool Greg.
hahaha Thanks for that profound explanation of 'practice' and its benefits.. but, on a serious note.. Nice work Thank you sir..
nice job...It's an inspiration for a beginner like me

It looks better on camera than it does in person. Glad to see the clausen worked out. No shrinking. I like that kind.
Nice! Like an ol’ country boy Bob Ross.

Thanks man. That reminds me, I need to practice!
Yeah... just a bit overbaked like you said BUT brother, at 6:30 I was blown away at how realistic it was looking. I am usually of the more is better school of thinking but I was really enamored of the lightning at that point. Like you say, practice perfect! As little amount of time you have in it, you'll have it down in no time at all. Nice vid

Red solo cup NICE!
Nice lightning bolts!!! Will try to do that on some of my projects in the future...thanks for sharing...😁
turned out pretty cool for your first time doing lightening! You may have covered it, but what brand of paint is that, and does it water based? You just mix it 1:1 with water?
@GregsGarage

It's Wicked paint from createx. I'm using their high performance reducer. It smells like windex. I'm cutting it somewhere around 1:1 or 1:.75.
what kind of paint do you use?
Very nice!

I think it's great that you just go ahead and do it. No Fear. I will be doing the same thing. Thanks for your input.
how do u change the paint when u want to use another color? do u dispose all the white paint away? and how to clear the remaining white residue before pouring another color? thanks

tian li I use mixing cups when I airbrush. I just pour the unused paint back into the cups. Then I run 500 series cleaner through the gun and clean with a paper towel. The type of gun I'm using isn't the best for color changing. the bottom feed seems to be faster if you are using multiple colors.
thats awesome. im actually looking for a dude who can do this on my snowmobile
No issues with this practice session. Only way to lean. Gary Player always said:”The more I practice, the luckier I got, so - practice, practice, practice...”
Gonna sound a tad wierd but if I wanted to do this on a guitar, would I be able to??

Did you paint your canvas black or buy that way
I just bought an airbrush to start learning myself
It's an inspiration for a beginner like me, what did you actually paint it on? I am not sure what to use for practice.

You shouldn't have to darken, just make the closer ones brighter, larger and more details. Looks good. :)

Yes. I think the far ones don't need a glow either... Just faint lines. Next one will be better!
I could watch you practice & learning your air brushing all nite..... Kinda like watching Bob Ross painting or gazing at the tropical fish in my fish tanks, its very relaxing..... It goes without saying that you have the talent, if you had the time to practice and teach yourself the techniques, you'd be making master pieces!........ I LOVE MY F_#King MAKO T-SHIRT art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks good. Your picking up the skill quite fast..You ever heard of Darren Wenzel ? He does great work.

I’m not sure why I’m watching this: I don’t have any airbrish supplies and I don’t intend on ever doing any airbrush art. Great video though!

That was pretty average mate. Keep practicing
well ok. The finished product aint so bad at least.
I don't mean to be captain safety or anything but aren't you supposed to wear a mask when using an airbrush because the paint is so light it can get in your lungs

Less is more
Its scary how much you don't know. You took the nozel off. The nozel protects your needle! You do not want to bend or damage your needle. Judging by how thick your over spray was I would say you used your paint to tbick. You should then your paints down. Then you would have less paint building up on your needle. You should have looked at some pictures of lightening. Paint your clouds. Then paint the lightening. Watching you work is everything you should not do. Good luck to you man.
