The actual event was so bad people called the police. Imagine a warehouse with a bouncehouse and some sad uninterested people in a costume with a few props.

The last (and I do mean last) time I stayed at an Airbnb there was a $100 PER NIGHT cleaning fee and it came with instructions for cleaning the bathroom, including which cleaning products were acceptable to use…at your own expense. Naturally none of that (except the fee) was disclosed when we booked the place.

I got a luxury hotel room with room service, gym, pool, hottub, sauna, for less than these "Airbnb" empires that are making housing unaffordable for hardworking families. And I didn't even have to take out any trash because the hotel staff cleaned my room for me 😂

AirBnB used to be a great and cheaper alternative to a hotel due to being able to rent a whole condo/house for the same price. Now they're saturated with property investment companies and the policies and fees are ridiculous now 😢

And the locked closet. That has a security system monitor at a desk, with 4 cameras at various places throughout the house. Got it dark enough to peer through the door and figure out the locations by sending people to walk in different areas. Sketchy.

I will not rent another Airbnb after my most recent experience. From the door lock upon arrival to the cleaning and laundry instructions, I didn't enjoy worrying about the owner's requirements. I am happier in a hotel!

Sure but the rooms with an actual stove are pretty rare. For 1-3 months stays for work contracts, you really need a stove and a full fridge or your food bill will be untenable.

I’ve only ever stayed in one Airbnb, but it legit was decorated just like this

There are entrepreneurs. I know a few who have multiple beach side properties. They are investment properties. It’s run as a limited liability paying Hotel taxes to Gvt etc etc. it’s a business. Not renting an extra room in their home or an addition unit on their main house. Those are landlords or inn keepers.

That camera in the bathroom thing is why I'll NEVER stay at Airbnb.

That’s for a reason. Guest would steal all the supplies like TP, towels, sheets, coffee, pillows, soaps, cleaning supplies. Outdoor cameras show them loading their cars with all the contents. Owners closets holds the towels and sheets and pillows so one can change out to new stuff and clean stuff quickly.

I flew all the way from New York to go to that Wonka experience!

Agreed. Most of this season has been awful.

If I see "word art" on the walls or whatever it's called, I won't stay there. AirBNB's glory days are over-- the fees and prices always make me wonder "Why take a chance?"

And for this reason, our only camera faces the gated entrance.

Airbnb has listings in Israeli settlements! They had removed them at one point, but under pressure, started the rentals again. Ridiculous. BDS.

I could only get the audio for this sketch when I saw it on Peacock.

the tagline should have been: "Just book a hotel instead".

There are still a lot of great Airbnb properties out there. If you have a big group, a hotel room or multiple rooms won't cut it.

Air b&b is such a creepy industry

I stayed in rental in Denver that was way worse than anything I've gotten from Airbnb. The place had literally ZERO decorations or accoutrements. No K-cups, no recommendations or maps. All it had was a rule book that made you feel like they didn't want anyone staying there. I did it through Egencia because my job would pay for it up front, rather than AirBnb that would first come from my pocket and then get reimbursed. I will go straight to Airbnb next time, because at least I can tell what I'm getting.
