I never realised Clannad was a starter/nostalgic anime to others too. As a kid I kept my love for anime quiet because no one else shared the interest. 17 years later and anime is everywhere. It’s amazing. I wish I could show my younger self. To know that so many people loved and were watching Clannad at the same time I was erases the loneliness I felt back then. Anime is a great friend to so many of us. Thanks Animenz

Angel Beats! was my first anime 10 years ago. It really opened a gateway to something so beautiful I have no regrets.

Clannad was the first anime series that i got into and after that was Clannad After Story. Both endings made me flood my bedroom in tears. Now, I practically live on anime so thank you, Clannad!!!

I loved Clannad and Clannad After story, i also watched Kanon . Have you amy recommendations for similar animes, mainly ones with similar art style as Clannad. I cannot stand the art style thats in Dragonball z , or character's who dont show emotions through their facial expressions

When I was pregnant with my son I would listen to this in hopes he would enjoy it. Sadly I'm in the hospital without my son ( had a fetus demise). Even if it makes me sad it was our bonding moment. I'll treasure those few moments I had with him and one day listening to this won't make me break down.

Thank you for your well wishes everyone. I have a pleasant update. I ended up having a precious baby boy named Xander. He will be two in January and when we visit his older brother Dante’s grave I have played this song for him on multiple occasions. This will forever be our thing, till my last breath. I love my son who walks next to me, and I love my son who flys over us. And yes I am an anime Mom xD

Ahh.. Clannad After story is the ONLY anime that has made me genuinely cried. I've had watched many sad animes including Air and Kanon but when i watched Clannad it hit right in the Kokoro lol. I was depressed for like a 1-2months! but there were lessons learnt from that anime. I will never forget it.. Don't think any anime will ever make me sad as Clannad..

I am nearly through with Clannad after Story and it ia really sad at the moment....but nothing will ever top guilty crown

One of the earliest earliest anime I had ever watched. Clannad was the second, followed by Kanon being the third. Back then, I remembered these 2 anime(s) gave me a depression feel after finishing it. It wasn't a bad thing, more like a "So good that it still sticks to my heart" after watching it. Too bad my friends all say Clannad has crappy animation.. WHY!! ;_; It's masterpiece man :D Very nice medley Animenz :D Indeed this piano gives off a nice singing voice in contrast to the bass :)

That is a bold statement. I do agree that for most people, watching kanon would be a better option, especially for those unfamiliar with anime or the genre; however, with Clannad Afterstory, Clannad has longevity over Kanon and when tragedy occurs it is more damaging.

I come back to this video often. The music from these anime’s give me happiness and meaning to my soul. I remember sobbing my eyes out the first time I watch Clannad and Kanon. Beautiful pieces of art.

I love your arrangement of Tori no Uta so much… especially the beautiful change in dynamics from 2:18-the gentle, delicate melody of the left hand accompaniment is extraordinarily pleasing to the ears. I had to come back to this video ‘cause of nostalgia, and this is just making me very emotional. Amazing. This entire medley is amazing.

Kanon is so underrated in my opinion, one of my favorites. Clannad will always be my favorite, but Kanon is close

After so many years, I still love your interpretation of Tori no Uta the most!❤ It sounds so ethereal.

Even the hardest moment in life might later be a sweet memory. Time moves on, waiting for no one. Hearing these melodies once again after so many years makes me feel old. Its just unfair how I am turning old but these songs still feel fresh.

***** Isn't Kyle Landry doing pretty much exactly that? He started asking for donations so he could buy a Steinway, so it's not out of the question. I think you have a loyal enough fanbase that people would actually be willing to donate. Especially if you started streaming, or something of the sort.

This 5 year journey to transcribe these timeless openings was completed in the best possible way. My heart strings were pulled to and fro. This transcription truly brought out many strong and deep emotions. It encompasses all the things that we all hold dear to us, all the reasons why we want to share the beauty of anime with the world. A masterpiece.

Clannad, Air, and Kanon all hit close for me. When I was around 8-9, the Clannad scenes with Tomoya and his father especially made me cry. Those scenes were the ones that made me cry, because they reminded me of my father, and how I don't see him very often with him being in the military.

Honestly I thought piano was gonna sound weird for anime theme songs, but this is sooo beautiful (god there is no emoji that can express my feels) Thank you

Thank you Animenz, you've been the first one to inspire me to actually want to play piano. I used to take formal lessons, but I was quickly bored with how simple the songs were and constrictive the music I would play would be. You opened my eyes to the arrangements of anime music, which I have always loved the sound and chord progressions.

I'm 20 now, but I remember watching this video when I was around 15 or 16 wanting to be able to play like this SO BADLY. I never did end up learning, but I still dream about being able to do this 😍

Clannad was really special to me, it helped me with a depression. RIP to the animators who died in that fire.

Each time I go over it, tears drop on the same scenes, with the same melodies…CLANNAD has always been the ultimate work in my mind, CLANNAD Saikou！

The Kanon part is my favorite... Very good all though 💜

These 3 visual novels will always be ingrained into my memories. Just hearing these songs fills me with a deep melancholy that i can't really describe.

Clannad music = goosebumps + nostalgic + tear

My very first 3 anime I've watched: Kanon, Clannad, Air. After them, I fell in love with music and anime. I've seen over 7290 episodes by now and still watching ;). Love your music vids.

I've watched all 3 and although they aren't vivid in my memories,the medley still stirred up a whirlpool of unwanted emotions from the second to started playing to the end. Good job sir.

This medley, alongside with Nagi no Asukara medley just hits hard. And I haven’t even watched the anime yet for both the medleys

Man, that sweeping left hand throughout Tori no Uta is incredible... You weren't kidding when you said it's technically difficult All of Toki was incredible, with the middle voices, left hand melody, and combining the two themes :O Also, nice pink dango :P

Listening to this really makes me reflect, I'm in highschool and during my childhood I only spoke to people during school barely, after school I would hide away in my room I did this up until 6th grade when a bully from 4th grade who lived a few doors down would walk past my house and occasionally hang out. I actually hung out with him everyday until he moved, but because of him I started to get out more and experience my childhood. These songs make me regret everything up until then. These anime and songs mean a lot to me.

Now, that is nostalgia. I remember the time when these are the only titles people would ever recommend whenever someone asks for tearjerkers.

The best of their genre. Now there's a lot more stuff for sure. Heh I don't really watch anymore so I wouldn't know. Any stuff you like these days?

I was totally unprepared for the flood of emotion when the Clannad: After D Story opening song hit me. That anime, along with both versions of Fruits Basket, continues to stick with me every day I walk this earth. One day, I won't be here to walk anymore, but these memories will be by my side forever.

So many tears in one Medley... how, why, what is the meaning of life?

This is so so so amazing... heaven to my ears... this was the 2nd or third anime I ever watched and has been my favorite ever since. I’ll always remember this anime, I love this anime so much, the sadness, the happiness and the funniness is very heartwarming... I love clannad and clannad after story😢❤️

I'm balling my eyes right now, Clannad is such a sad anime I couldn't stop crying whenever I watched it again. Fuko Chan ;-;

Listening to this is so inspirational. I often forget that this right here is the dream. I've always dreamed of doing amazing things such as being able to play the piano as well as Animenz and be able to play any song I want whenever I feel the mood. But I realize that for the first time, I dream of doing something that is completely possible for me. If I just keep at it and keep on playing, one day I will be able to play just as well . Hearing those Clannad medleys really brings back all those wonderful feelings I had experienced and will never forget. Thank you Animenz for remaining as an inspiration for me and for many others. It's always good to have someone you want to catch up to :)

Very well said, I feel the same way.

I don't have words for this. It made me break down in tears and I'm not the type of person that does things like that. Incredible. The third movement hit he so hard it legitimately took my breath away.

That you are willing to share the fruits of your hard work with the public is something that demonstrates your generosity and true love of music. I am so grateful for your wonderful sheet music.

You, dear sir, are an incredible pianist and a wonderful inspiration to those who want to learn how to play, including myself! Thank you for this incredible piece of quality music! One thing, I am not criticizing, but the song at the end wasn't actually Dango Daikazoku (Dango Daikazoku happens to be a song that they created by using the tune to Nagisa's theme), it was Nagisa's warmly arranged piano theme - known as Nagisa warm piano arrangement. But, you probably already knew that. Just making sure others don't get confused and get frustrated when they can't find that version. :)

Genuinely going to make my children watch Clannad with me one day. I can credit Clannad for alot of my positive traits that i grew to have as a person

Whenever I think of Autumn, this piano piece in particular plays in my head. How wonderful this medley is, it has been there for me for so many years and I absolutely adore it.
