@@ueLordHolz I don’t know exactly but you will get the hang of it once you start practicing, there’s no set way to go one way or another, it all depends on the position of your car. I just do it through muscle memory

Later on in higher rank are u constantly makin adjustments no matter where ur hood is facing while holding air roll? Doesnt seem possible to keep up with the controls flipping back and forth as fast as ur car can turn an air roll rotation

No one taught you this because it's useless. There is no shortcut to learning. Learning air roll like this will only make it harder to learn the proper way later. If you expect to score anything using this method, don't. Only being able to make adjustments when you see the hood makes air rolling not only useless, but also worse than not rolling at all.

⁠@@jbennyvTbh I had been air rolling like this for a while and i’ve been practicing actual constant air roll for just 3 days now and I’ve already broken the habit. I went into the opendribble workshop map and tried air rolling in a circle around the huge map without making any adjustments that this video shows and it helped a lot. I then practiced neon heights rings without using the adjustments in this video for the most part. I did also practice only pulling my joystick up while air rolling from another video about air roll and after doing that for a while I decided to try to chain everything together and found I had broken the habit and improved my control.

Very straightforward, short, and easy to understand 👍 all tutorials should be like this. You’re a legend and i mean it 1000%.

We need more tutorials like this, Short and easy to understand.

Ive watches so many vids trying to learn this from pros and couldnt yet this 20 second video was all i needed

I saw some controller overlays and decided to question things, so I asked my gc friend and he explained everything. Most people don’t have someone to ask like I did and might end up a year behind in air rolling if they ever figure it out.

Yes but there’s more to it than that. You also use up on joystick and down on joystick. You sometimes use right on the joystick but that makes you tornado spin. Sometimes you use the left part of the joystick but that’s rare not that useful and kind of just comes to you

For people like me, that couldn't make sense of how tf people can make their car go to the direction they want to while air rolling, this is just what I needed. Now I know where to start with this mechaning instead of trying to do everything at once.

Imo the best way to start is knowing this and pushing the joystick up to make it go on the direction you want. Then start to use variations of those and add mechanics like tornado spinning which needs an explanation. *Most of the adjustments I make in air roll don’t even use top right or bottom right. I think you now misunderstand air roll but if you don’t then good for you. However, thousands of other people now misunderstand air roll because of this video.*

Swear to god. This made me learn how to control myself nearly "perfect" in 10 hours. I would include putting ur gamespeed on 50% and building it up when ure completely new to it like me. This. Changed. My. Life. Ty

There's a reason why every tutorial is different. Just learn flying around the arena in a circle JUST USING ONE ADJUSTMENT. Because the hardest part of Air rolling is getting the timing of boost down, with the adjustment after all that's what changes your direction. For example just do down left the entire time and really really learn individual adjustments and boost management. You can't get muscle memory if you aren't training every direction individually. Take note how your car reacts with boost and the adjustments and when to let go.

I learned how to use air roll left through muscle memory but I neglected working on my air roll right and have been trying to learn it lately, the thing is that u could just reverse the principle when doing air roll right and it's gonna make learning it and developing muscle memory for it way easier. I can air dribble very well at GC2 but i still need improvement with regaining control and this clip is the first clip ive seen in ages about airdribbling that might actually help someone. Its not just being told what i was told and that was grind it out until its muscle memory

Air roll left is like splitting ur joystick vertically in a straight line into two sections, left, and right. and no matter u do on the right side of ur joystick to keep ur car up, you’ll have to mirror that exact patern on the left side of ur joystick to keep your car a balanced

hey so ive found that down and to the left turns to the left way better instead of down to the right, down and to the right puts you in kind of a tornado spin which you can turn right or left depending on your boost however down and to the left turns left really no matter what

Don’t over think it just go into replay and hold air role down and let go and move your left stick while doing it. Mess up or not keep doing that and you’ll get it.

However I think you could do counter clockwise as well if your more comfortable. These inputs he’s discussing are the critical ones the circle just helps me to time the ups and downs without having to look and see if the cars hood is facing me or not.

I'm a new player, and I tried this without configurating the air roll in my control. 😂 i figured it out a couple of minutes later. Now I can perform it. Thx for the tutorial.

This can work for some people, but for others it wont like me. If it doesn't work for you try learning your air roll by instinct. Just go in freeplay and hold your air roll and try aiming your car at the ball for a aerial shot by spinning your analog stick around. I learned air roll left in a few hours just doing that and it's just instinct now i dont have to look at my car to see which direction its facing. Even after a 2 months break from rl i still can air roll, and tbh i cant aerial without air roll
