I have the Coway 400 and a 300 and have been pleased with them. And I think there is an optional wireless interface which I don't have. Over 2 - 3 years, they've given me no trouble and are very quiet. Filters do need changing annually and they aren't cheap.

@@artsoto5459 Yes, they run all the time in auto mode and they are at opposite ends of the house. I change the filters annually and vacuum them in between to prolong the life. I've had zero issues with either of them in 3 or 4 years worth of use.

@@arevee9429 I want to get Coway 400 but I have read some reviews (granted it was a minority) claiming that some new filters have chemical smell that takes a long time to vent, including when buying them directly from the manufacturer. Have you ever experienced something like this?
I've had the Airmega 300 and 400 for several years, and have recommended them to my family as well. If you have room for them, they are quiet and do a great job keeping up with dusty air while being quiet on the non-highest speed. I've had cheaper air purifiers from Home Depot/Lowes and those became noisy/wobbly over time. The Airmega ones have been very low maintenance (just vacuum/wash the pre-filters regularly, and replace the main filters on schedule). The OxyPure sounds interesting with the long-life/washable biofilter tech. I wish the video had talked about or compared the units on lower fan-speed settings (filtration/flow-rate at equivalent decibels?). I leave mine running 24/7 on the mid-tier or automatic speed and the noise is only a problem at the highest speed setting. I specifically got the 400 so I could leave it on low in the TV room all the time.
I have two Nuwave OxyPure units in my home (one upstairs and one downstairs) for about 9 months now and couldn't be more happy with them. I haven't had any issues and they still work like the day I got them. Whether your making dinner or when the dog walks near it, it always knows and turns on.

@@VacuumWarsFirst time viewer here. On first look, I thought it was an AI generated video, so I almost immediately clicked off. Something to keep in mind for new viewers. This style definitely feels like an AI video, even though the content was good. Maybe even having a quick 20 second intro with one of the testers would likely make it seem more authentic to viewers. The content and work was great though!
looking through the reviews of the Coway, it seems that some people notice a noise from the motor after weeks/months. suggesting that they saved on the bearing or motor.
Thanks for the review. I own this Coway and it works great. I've said it before, but just wish they weren't cheap on honeycomb carbon pellets with the refills, they have less than the ones out the box.

@@brokenwrench404 I had a winix and it wasn't great at collecting dust, the coways seem to be significantly better. At the same time, Blueair has a unit that claims to perform exceptionally well against dust but there isnt a proper review online about the real performance (dustmagnet).

Yes - You are correct, Coway has been rolling our "S" (smart) versions of each of there airmega air purifiers.
I've had both and I beg to differ because the Coway 400 does not do as well as the Nuwave oxipure. The Nuwave oxipure delivered FAR better results in our entire 2,200 square foot home and had the are smelling much more crisp and clean compared to the Coway 400. 😊
Great review, will you also be reviewing combi products, like air purifier/humidifier?
So would Nuwave be the best choice for a larger area due to its more powerful fan?
Hope that you can maybe test the smaller and cheaper OxyPure Zero sometime.

Thanks for another great video! Really enjoyed this air purifier comparisons! However - just one small correction I'd like to add (as another comment already pointed out) - the AirMega 400 (and almost all AirMega purifiers at this point) come in both a "regular" and "smart" version. The AirMega400 (regular) does not include the wifi/app/advanced controls - BUT - the AirMega400S (Smart) does! So for that "Smart Features" score it should really be a tie :P

Hey! Have you heard of the new Dyson robot vacuum? It's called Visnav, you should review it soon! 😁
Unrelated- been waiting for vacuum wars to review the q revo. Maybe a head to head with dreametech l10s? You've always been my go-to for reviews, I'm sure there are a lot of people interested in the list of features at that price, especially with the early bird coupon.
Can you test the Filter Queen Defender Air Purifier? It’s supposed to 99.99% of 0.1 microns and I wonder if it’s legit.
@VacuumWars

Interesting! Thanks for the suggestion!
At 4:06 saying it’s slower because it has more filter media I believe is false. Usually the more filter surface area the higher the flow because you have more area for air to pass through. That’s why things are pleated. More area less pressure differential/less restrictions =more flow.

Good info to know! What do you think of non OEM Hepa filters? I have the Coway 400 (not S) a Levoit and an old Rowena. I'm concerned if I should be buying OEM hepas.
Remember when you do these reviews to make sure you have the latest equivalent models. The Airmega has a model called 400s, the letter s to signify its smart integration with Alexa and Google. That model is more feature rich but def more expensive. So in your comparison the first round would actually be a tie at 68 pts each.
Austin Air healthmate plus please
What about the Nuwave OxyPure Zero that is the same size as the regular OxyPure (for very large rooms/houses), but that has all washable filters that have a lifespan of 20 years? (It has a second washable bio filter instead of the HEPA filter.) They claim the two bio filters are better than HEPA. (So I don’t know why they are also selling one with a replaceable HEPA/carbon filter?) I can only find regular people doing unboxing videos of it, but no real performance analysis or comparisons.
I have had the coway airmega 400 since 2019 and love it! I keep it on smart mode except during covid if we had to have someone come by then I'd put it on high :) Works great and shocking how well it detects odors and pollution, every time it kicks on I'm happy we have it.
Worthwhile stating the Coway's claimed 66 watt usage vs the other's claimed 125 watts (if both at max I believe). Tho best if you were able to properly test these claims in case they're false advertising.
I guess both are useful if you live in the middle of a city with terrible pollution and high rise building. both pricey and overkill for suburban.
Would love to see the Mila air purifier vs the new lads on the market.

Ok further in now and I think my honest opinion is I’m not gonna bother on these ones. I can’t put my finger on why I watch in the first place. I don’t need a vacuum cleaner or air purifier. My V11 is doing great. Shark sucks but whatever and that will do. I think I come for the voice and when thats not here theres no reason to come. I’m not actively assaulted by the new voice anymore its much less LTT employee trying to be Linus or Engadget but its not something I want to listen to if I can help it. Still unsure what it is about OG’s voice, its just something I want to hear and an AI just doesn’t have the same appeal. Nice try though. It really is an improvement.

Still not the OG but definitely improving. Now its just a bit AI and not actively objectionable. Definitely better though.

£1200 for the OxyPure!
At 4:01 you listed the Coway CFMs at 21, 40 and 53. However this seems very low. According to their website, if you do the math, the CFM should be around 416 at the highest fan speed. Intuitively, also makes sense. Computer case fans are in the range of 20-30 CFM for a 120mm fan. These fans in the air purifier are way bigger!
