Air King 9312 12" High Velocity Fan | Initial Checkout

The initial checkout of an Air King 12" wall or ceiling mount high velocity fan model 9312. The unit is comparable to the Air King 9212 but with a different stand and control set. I intended to use this to move heat down my hallway in the winter, but it will not work well for such purpose. The air flow is very widely dispersed as it exists the fan, which is great for cooling a wide area, but not for moving air down a narrow hallway.
The 9212 I have moves air differently than this unit does. This one doesn't seem quite as powerful. I suspect the reduced and altered performance is the result of the very dense guard found on this model. Perhaps this is because this model is also sold in Canada, hence the English/French labeling.
In my case, I need a fan with a narrow air stream. Perhaps I should have gotten the TPI U12-TE instead.

My Air King 18” floor fan will peel your hair back! 13 years and runs great. They currently make the best box fan and the 18” floor fans have been excellent.

The box fan is absurdly overpriced.
I can't wait for more videos of this air king fan such as getting the blades balanced and get this installed in the garage soon good video bro
I've actually ordered the 18 inch version of this I really hope that's it's not gonna be a Canadian version now that I know that the grills are that way and it's stupid you have to balance it and i already prepared to balance mine knowing typical air queen fashion. Edit: I’ve got the fan and it’s grills are thicker than the floor version and did some research and apparently all the multi mount versions have that for what ever reason and of course it being slightly thicker blocks more airflow but it still moves good air and it travels pretty fare
I hope their pedestal fans are better. The 16” model has me wondering how it will sound.
Swap stands on the two fans so you can ceiling mount the floor one.

Yup that would be alot better for his use case and I suppose how the way this one moves the air it would be more useful as a floor fan.

A remote controlled Vornado or Lasko Flexor should do the trick.
For how this fan is made, I was expecting better airflow & a balanced blade, does make me wonder how better a fan like this would go if instead it had a large directional front grill similar to a Vornado & a venturi placed around the blades to focus the air into a directional grill.

to me airkings or aleast new ones, dont do anything, i had 12inch desk airkind it was nice noisy version of my 12inch lakso so i got rid of it
air kings are junk, and that big center cap

TPI fans are good but at northern tool they are $$$$$
