I love how brutally honest you are with Jordan Brand. Calling them out on made up nickname fake stories, crappy leather on the 13s, changing the AJ 1 Low OG shape and still labeling them OG(and yes, jodi, the TRUE OG toebox shape is different and wider LOL)and many other things. there a fire shoe,they never put white midsole's on coloured 5's,which makes them look super clean.

Had these back in 2013, beat the hell out of them, even wore 'em on a friend's wedding, but no way I camped under the moonlight to get these lol.

I definitely think the Oreo 6s deserved a retro more than these. Oreo 5s didn't even come out that long ago

I had the original pair that dropped. I thought I was the flyest freshman at my college LOL. It was the first time I had a job so these and the Fire Red 5s (red midsole) were my first Jordans.

Still got my oreo 5’s from 2013 and theyve lasted pretty well tbh so i dont know if ima go for a fresh pair. lol nobody camped out for these either ..it was a very easy cope they didnt even sell out

This was GR that sat 😂. I passed it multiple times at outlets. There doesn’t always need to be a story. They’re clean, and that’s enough, that’s fine. It’s a weird retro, how about the fear packs? Toro bravo 4s? So many better color ways from that era

Feed the laces from the front so they come out the back of the lock. That way when you tie a knot (if you do one regardless of the lock or not) the knot is hidden underneath. Optional: tuck the remaining exposed laces inside the shoe for a cleaner look.

I run the laces from the back of the lock to the front,so theyre both together and hang around half way down the shoe

I’m so glad we have people like Chris who keeps it real when it comes to sneakers. It’s so sad to see Jordan and Nike rereleasing the same stuff plus these collabs for all of the hypebeasts for people to keep falling for this crap. They could release something ugly and people would still buy it for a ton of money, smh. At this point, they’re just trying anything and hoping it sells out. Great video Chris! this was one of those outlier shoes that seemed to gain popularity over time. from drake wearing them, to the numerous restocks, eventually they were pretty popular among the newer crowd as I recall

@@kevincollins8620 right around that time I was running around watching resellers snatch everything up when I just wanted one pair of lightnings, I came across some DS 4s in university blue, so that kinda cushioned the blow of not getting a retail pair. then I saw these (Moonlight 5s hahaha) and figured if I'm gonna pay resale I should get a color I like more. i still need the lightnings haha. i think all the hype is seriously affecting my mental health lol. @Chris, I wish I knew more people such as you and the people in this community that are passionate about sneakers and not what you can get for them in the resale market. Keep doing what you're doing! I just told my wife, I'm done watching these idiots that are destroying our culture. All this resale bullshit sometimes makes me just wanna stop collecting. Yeah the storytelling aspect of things are going left. I feel bad for the writers on SNKRS that have to make shit up. As far as this shoe is concerned, I passed in 2013 and I passed in 2021. While I do like the overall look (especially the fabric tongue), I don’t like the white lining white would attract dirt and dye transfer from socks.

To many of them released, re sellers will choose limited releases because holding more pairs means pushing the market equilibrium up faster and easier. Exactly why you’ll see people posing with rooms full of sneakers and boxes stacked as high as they are tall. Mfs just going to get em backdoored through they mommy and daddy who work for Nike.

This one is super nice. I love it so much. Hopefully can get one from retail.

Unpopular opinion I like this Toe box shape better.
