I actually love this colorway , I disagree with you about the pop of red or somthing . I like that they kept it simple. My only complaint in all jordan retro is when they make everything on the shoe match so well then randomly throw a yellow or random color jordan logo .

I agree, glad they kept these strictly a black/white colorway. Such a classic look.

I love 14s.. these are an easy cop, just so wearable. I disagree about wanting a hit of colour. The moment you add a red these become half as wearable. A super clean black and white kick goes with everything. 👍

Thank you for, yet again, another excellent overall video review. Very, and always, appreciated along with you and the wife's efforts and time. The Air Jordan 14 is one of my favorite Air Jordan models. That being said, I am on the fence on this model. Not so much the colorway but, the upper material used. But, as Chris stated, this colorway model will probably be on sale soon after the release and probably pick up a pair or two. Would like to see retro release of the Air Jordan 14 model from the CDP back in the day. Also, I just wanted to wish Chris and Jodi and the entire family Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!

I have always loved the 14. Both the looks, the tech (back then), the playability and comfort. My top 5 AJ shoe. The minus is the lack of durability. I may have to cop these tho

These are so clean. I've never had a pair of 14s. I'm definitely going to try and grab these after release at my local Nike Unite store - hopefully get them for 30%

@@YoungTooShabbyit’s hit or miss. My Nike Factory is bad most of the time, it was solid last week though. My Nike Unite normally has the newer releases more often and earlier than the Factory.

I got these joints on launch day these are my very first pair of Jordan 14s there so awesome

They're so pretty. My first pair of Jordans were the 14 white with the black suede toe back in 1998, the look of the 14's have always been my favorite. But as for comfort and control while playing in, I'd have to go with the 17's. The 17's were the best basketball sneaker I've ever played in.

Agreed. I am a huge fan of the AJ XIV Candy Canes: something about them just grabs people’s attention, and they standout against any fit. 17s were probably the most locked-down, stable pair of J’s I’ve hooped in, and in my opinion resulted in the least post-game foot fatigue. PITA to lace and unlace though. Also can’t deny the coolness of the briefcase back in the day. $200 USD retail must have been some kind of record for shoes back then.

Hands down the BEST retro to play in. Not even close!

I love these. Now they just need to bring back the Oxidized Green. That was the last pair of Jordans I had as a kid and has always been my favorite colorway.

I’ve been playing in my 12’s lately. I like them but their traction ends on some smooth spots. So I’m definitely interested in playing in these 14’s because the traction goes to the edge.

Great review, as usual, but; they weren’t true to size on my feet. I had to go up a full size. It made a huge difference.

7's, 11's, 13's & 14's are my fav J's to hoop in. But like almost all hoop shoes, you absolutely must wear them with proper insoles to get the most out of them.

This is my first pair of 14’s and I’m from Chicago. I am a Chicago kid I’m a big fan of the Bulls/Jordan I prefer the Chicago colors ways when it comes to my Jordans but…. At time it’s difficult to get them so occasionally I’ll get a color way that I can still wear with my chi town colors ways like the White Sox!!!! Chris is right you really have to break the 14’s in and then there an amazing shoe I’m finding out I look forward to getting more 14’s fyi the 7’s and 11’s and 13’s are a more more comfortable and cushioned ride. I’m working on getting my first pair of 12’s and some point this year.

Maybe the best thing they can do to make the cushioning as close to original in the modern day is using the zoom turbo. I think that'll be insane

Can’t play in those because the white pieces near the front become unglued over time.

I like these, and I’m not mad they didn’t put Red in it. Not every shoe has to have that color in it. I feel like they force it in there to many times on other J’s. That being said if I can find these with $30 bucks off then I may scoop them up, if not 🤷‍♂️

If the black fades you can buy this spray saphir It will dye it it’s fool proof. It’s not a crazy hardcore dye. You just spray on and is super easy to work with. My black timbs look brand new right now

These are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 but I doubt I'll cop. I had the Indiglos when they were originally released in 1999, and loved those. I bought them again when they were re-released in 2016. Still have those to this day.

I wish I could get these but due to life expenses, these will get added to the album of "future sneakers"😅.

They don’t drop 14s like that but when they do they’re fire. Copped the Gym Red pair back in 2020 and the Laneys back in May. Really considering getting these soon.

These were my first pair of J's as a kid accept, they were the Laney colorway. The only thing I hated was the foam scuffed SO EASY I couldn't keep them clean at all. Speaking of retros, hey man those Jordan 19 Flints Black/Red I was a un-guardable. I don't know what the hell it was about those shoes. I remember 2008 like it was yesterday man I hit 26 threes in a row between nine pickup games. I felt like I was in a trance. Man, I'll never do that shit again to save my life. 😂
