Man…. I’ve been trying to grab the cool grey 11’s SINCE 2001. I couldn’t get them in ‘01 because, only big sizes were available. In 2010, the hype was real. I wasn’t going to risk my life to obtain a pair. In 2018, I didn’t want to settle for a low top version. I was finally able to grab a pair via SNKRS shock drop. Man…. 20 years of 🤦🏻‍♂️🙍🏻‍♂️💔 finally turned into 😊😁

I got them back in '01 in 11.5. When I wore them, many people were asking where in the hell did I get them from, and when did they come out lol

Man...I swore off of buying anymore shoes until February 2022 (Playoff 12's) cause I've bought 19 pairs of shoes in a yr and a half. I've always admired the cool grey 11s bt I kept telling myself I'm going to pass cause I've bought too many already nd I just want the playoff 12's nd I'm done! Well after watching this I'm at least doing the raffle nd if I don't hit its likely I'm gonna pay resale lol.

I’ve been wearing Air Jordan’s since ‘89 but the 11’s are special to me because in 1995 I was on the high school basketball team and when the 11’s dropped me and half my teammates waited in line @ Foot Locker and we all wore the concords during games. Got much love & memories for the 11’s and it’s my favorite style no matter the color

Cool Grey 11s are sentimental to me. I remember wanting the Concord retro in 2000, but when my mom called Eastbay to order them as a graduation gift to me, they told her they were sold out but mentioned they had these grey pairs. Wanting an 11 no matter what, I said yes, I want them. So I have that OG pair, a 2010 and the lows, so I will need this year's retro as well.

Still remember like it was yesterday...the year was 2001 and I walked into Foot Locker and saw these masterpieces on the wall staring back at me. It was love at first site. Bought 2 pair, $125 each. No lines, no hype. Best shoe I've ever worn.

Shit I wish it was that easy for me lol. I had to scramble to get my cool greys in 01 they sold quick I went to like 3 places before I found a pair in my size. No lines though just walk in and grab. The space jams and concord that dropped a few months earlier sat though I got the space jams for Christmas.

I remember almost getting ready to turn 18 back 2001 and my mom wanted to get me the Cool Grey 11's as a birthday present. Prior to this I never had a pair of J's. Well 3/3/2001 rolls around and my mom goes to our local malls to try to get a pair. She had no idea the sneaker stores did a midnight release so she missed out on getting these for me. She later made it up with getting me tickets to see Three 6 Mafia since they had a concert at the nightclub the same night I turned 18. I was able to cop these in 2010 and hope to grab these again for myself and one pair for my daughter. Side note: For some sneaker history, these were the first retro Jordan to drop on Saturday's., After the Space Jam 11's too many kids were skipping school so they switch to Saturday's after that.

I was 14 mom took me to 3 different places to find my size when the 01 dropped. I cut like 5 yards to get the money together for them lol. She got me the space jams for Christmas a couple months before

It has been great to see that an overwhelming amount of people were able to obtain pairs through the shock drop. It was huge to see him wear the cool greys on court back in the day, a definite cop when thy release in December.

I definitely remember that "purple glow" that the OG's had. It would usually occur when a fluorescent bulb bounced off of the patent

That color of grey on your hoodie is very nice and matches up perfectly with the colorway of the shoe. Very nice shoe but I do like the 2001 version better because of the lower cut of patent leather. The higher cut hides the materials but still a great release. I think that these will do really well. Thank God that they are releasing a crap load of pairs so resale won't be too high in the beginning. So excited for your clothing line and your success because both of you have worked really hard and definitely deserve what ever comes your way.

I still have my 2001 Pair in the OG box, and I must say even though the soles have yellowed a bit, I prefer that old style of clear over the newer Icy Blue. But to each his own.

I can’t wait to take these on court! I won them on the shock drop. I’ll try to buy another pair in December for casual wear.

One of my favourite 11s. Also my first pair of 11s. All of those Since 2001 options look great.

I remember when I first got into collecting the shoe that brought me into the sneaker world was the concord 11 my favorite air Jordan of all time……but the cool Gray 11s might be tied for third with the space jams……I love 11s and will definitely be going for these I’m also glad a lot of people hit on SNKRS for the shock drop. These are a cop for me.

I am a 11 fanboy through and through so these are a must cop for me no matter what and they’re grey which just rocks with everything

I agree but everything was perfect on mine besides the back stitch on the V ..my right side is a little off..if I knew this before I would’ve asked for a different pair ..I only look led at it because of what he stated lol

Another great review. Like you, I am just awaiting for a remastered retro of the "Columbia" "All-Star" Air Jordan XI 11. Hopefully soon. At least before I start walking with assistance. I just copped these last week from GOAT, and when i got them, during shipping it appeared there was an amount of weight stacked ont op of the box, and it caused a spot on the blue outsole and the black paper in the box to rub and leave a little black mark, kinda like the receipt paper ink, man i was disappointed, i totally plan to wear them and was able to get the mark out but still just kinda killed the magic i was looking forward to with these, but when i was lacing them up i can't lie i got a heavy sense of nostalgia, swept back to 3rd grrade when i had two classmates that were cousins and they were the two kids that always had the new jordans and they were getting new shoes like every two weeks i swear. I remember them having the OG legend blues.

Had the 2010 release and the only reason why I got rid of them was cause I heard talks of them releasing again - super glad I did cause this years is the one to get!
