@@ardanormm7490 to prevent the egg from falling out, take a big broader bread slice, and make a round indent properly so that the egg doesn't flow out. This should work.

I am very happy with the Cosori Air Fryer. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I like the fact there's very little oil being used - that helps with cooking a bit healthier kzread.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB for the two of us. The biggest tip is do not put parchment paper - the pre-cuts are very nice - in the basket during the pre-heat setting. You will catch it on fire. Also use Avocado Oil if you're using oil. It has a high smoke point to it. KZread has been great with finding recipes for the Air Fryer.

We grew up having these before the air fryer was invented. They called them "eggs in a nest." Mom made them in the 1960's through the 1970's. Another favorite is the dutch baby or, baked German pancakes that are thin & rise in the oven. So good!

It never dawned on me to do this. Tried it, and it worked perfectly. My bread wasn't thick enough, so I made a cheese sandwich with a hole cut out of the top slice for the egg. Perfectly cooked and no massive mess in the airfryer. This will be a staple make for me.

I had a similar issue with the bread but mine was thicker cut granary bread but the end result was just as tasty. I think it`s a bit trail and error to start, but end result was delicious. thank you

I do the same its a grilled cheese but with the egg in the hole on top. just had to add 2 min more cooking time

I did this for breakfast this morning - wonderful! I wanted runny yolk and the 5 minutes ate 385 worked perfectly. I used a homemade sourdough bolillo (crusty roll/mini fat baguette kind of roll) and all was crisp and delicious on the roll. I have an Ultimate Instant Pot which is combo pressure cooker/air fryer (smaller version of Ninja One Lid). I pressure cooked potatoes and sausage, then switched to air fry for the egg-toast, and to crisp potatoes and sausage. Perfect weekend large breakfast. Thank you for this technique!!

@@plainjaneproud Yes to preheat. I almost always preheat, just like with an oven. I’m on my 2nd air fryer and find that it takes some experimentation with time and temp for each type.

You won't regret it. So many cool things you can do with one. Almost anything you could deep fry/would deep fry, is ust as good in the air fryer...in some cases, better. Of course, there's some cases where you may still prefer to deep fry, but it's rare...and that's coming from someone who used to be a die-hard deep fryer, when I was younger. They're also fantastic for reheating cold takeout/fast-food fries.. which was something I believed to be impossible to do, and still taste decent.

So youtube is reading our minds now…? I just had a thought of running some of my sourdough bread through my air fryer. I thought, “I wonder if there’s a YT video about that”?? Didn’t speak out loud, but just wondered about it. Tried it and found it kinda worked, but only ran it for 2 min cuz I couldn’t wait…. 😊. Then I see this! I will definitely be trying this , and will toast onion rings on the side 😋 I use my air fryer as a toaster - 140 deg/4 mins - the best toast ... But the crumbs are a mess. It blows throughout the the appliance and is difficult to clean... But I'm not deterred. I love my air-fried toast 🙌

I love this, It’s much easier cooking it in an air fryer. I’ve made this with cutting a hole in the buttered bread adding the egg and cooking it in a fry pan. We call it egg in the nest, I prefer your version, and I’ll be making it this way in future. Thank you, I’m watching from Australia 🇦🇺

I've been doing this for decades in a sandwich maker. But I also put a slice of cheese underneath. The only trick is not to close the top lid completely and to see when the egg is ready! A good day!
