Air France HOP! trip report ✈️ Ljubljana to Paris
Introducing the new MINI REVIEW format with a trip aboard Air France HOP! in economy from Ljubljana to Paris Charles de Gaulle. It’s the Embraer 190 operating our European regional flight today and I’ve put together a compact and to-the-point review, the kind of thing I’m going to do when there’s a short flight that doesn’t involve too much service but which still merits a video. Enjoy some interesting aircraft at Ljubljana including a taped-up Libyan Airlines CRJ which was damaged in the conflict there and flown to Ljubljana at low altitude! There’s also a lovely DHL 757 and a Lufthansa CRJ taking off. And check out Ljubljana Airport which is rather gorgeous actually, and features a business class lounge (accessible with Priority Pass) that has an outdoor deck and draft beer. What more can you ask for? Then fy with me onboard the E190, enjoy plenty of Alpine views and a bit of the flatter part of Switzerland, and get the second installment of the GabeScore, in which I give a flight a numerical score and we see if it’s one you’re going to want to avoid or book when making your own travel plans. Finally we get a little glimpse at the sometime farcical experience of connecting at CDG. In this case it wasn’t so bad but it still felt convoluted and many people were stressed. It all worked out though. Hope you enjoy!

The in-flight refreshments deserved a higher score than 11/20. Yes the sandwich is nothing special but it's much more than you would get on most regional flights in Europe (and North America). I also used the airport at LJU last year and really enjoyed it. The facility is well-run, attractive and modern thanks to the influence of operator Fraport.

What number would you have given them? Yes they’re better than others but they’re still pretty basic.

@@airedition I would have gone at least 15/20 for a sandwich in economy class. In North America by contrast a short-haul economy passenger gets nothing more than a pack of pretzels (Air Canada) or a pack of two Lotus Biscoff cookies (WestJet).

I also flew on that date from a little Spanish airport Almería on 737 to Manchester. Have you flown from there? Was a really smooth flight blue skies in Spain but from france all the way back to Manchester we couldnt see the ground as was completely covered by cloud!

Great trip report! The new terminal in Ljubljana looks great and the lounge is impressive! The onboard experience with HOP! looks fairly decent too. Glad you made your connection. Hope you enjoyed your time in Slovenia, it's a fantastic country in my opinion.

Good to see you again Gabe. How are you doing? I have slovenia campervan trip in my travel bucket list. I love the dhl 757 with engine covers, i wonder how come its parked in ljublana :D p.s. You no longer cooping with fr24?
