Air Force Search & Rescue Over Water • RAMZ
U.S. Air Force Airmen conduct a search and rescue training exercise over water, jumping from a C-130 with the Rigging Alternate Method Zodiac (RAMZ). The RAMZ operation deploys an inflatable Zodiac boat which the para-rescue special operators must inflate to use in their efforts to locate... e.g. downed pilots.

Dru S ...those are collected. The Air Force would never hear the end of it if they just left them floating. Plus, they’re dried and re-used. Those things are pretty durable.
