    This is a great video the only thing that stops this being amazing is the fact you neglected to have a commentary over alot of what pipes you are removing from what amongst a few other things aswell as tool and socket sizez!?!?! (This would have been great!!! I say this as I am changing my engine and this video is a great guide to remove not only the air con compressor but a lot of other parts. Lacking a little but all in all a great video Many thanks Dave

    Great video. On a 2006 ML500, would it be possible to change just the pulley on the AC compressor without removing the compressor. Is the pulley bolted on or pressed. Thanks

    Did you use a 3/8 e10 socket for the bottom intake bolt

    Hi my gl550 with a clutch free Denso 7SEU17C what could cause to not compress , the high and low side are same engine running or not, could it be the actuator in the compressor , the was store for 5 months and the ac was fine , I added a bit of 134A also but no difference, they are different animal those MB thanks

    Hello guys, and thanks for this it help me a lot. I have a question, my current serpentine belt is 7k2420, but the new a-c compressor can take only 6k. Question is can I put a 6k2420 instead? Taking care of good alignement in the other pulleys.. Thanks

    Off and hanging in space okay. Back on perhaps at least one headless bolt(get new compressor on). Relatively speaking aligning the mount holes while the compressor is hanging is hardest part of the project. Don't do it unless you can align and tighten the three mount bolts back on. I suggested a spare headless bolt to start the first mount hole.

    Hello Pros, i've got a M-Benz E-240 / 211 Series / 2003 and i am facing an issue with AC compressor, it cools for sometime and then stops cooling for few minutes and sometime for longer time and blows kind of warm air (since i am in Gulf, i guess its the climate and the heat, but you'll know better) the AC also makes a sort of a whirring sound with constant intervals, had it checked with mechanics but the only solution garages suggests here is simply to replace the part, whether its $50 or $500 they don't care nor they want to put an effort to find the fault and repair :( I've also learnt that there is a kind of squeaking kind of a noise when the engine is running and its coming from the Dynamo, the mechanics said that there is one of the Bearing is broken and must be replaced, my specific question is "Can Dynamo affects the AC performance and cooling system, since that Bearing is broken, it works for a while and then it shuts off the compressor, could it?" cz if yes i can only fix the Dynamo Bearing and it will save me almost $600 to replace the compressor and the whole nine yards :( Please advise, many thanks

    Just a heads up .... if the Ac compressor goes out and breaks the belt, keep a spare 6PK2290 serpentine belt in your C320. if you have it you can by pas the compressor with just about a millimeter of clearance. and not get stuck on the road.

    This does not work on my 2005 c230. The belts rub against each other when bypassing the ac compressor

    Hello! At 9:12 what is the name of that vacuum hose? I need one for my 2005 c230. I can hear it leaking air from That hose in my car😢

    I did this from under the car and the compressor will come out under the supercharger. Is easier to loose the radiator and suport even remove the fan but not necesary. And of course i removed the belt and intake intercooler tube.

    I do these all the time, no need to remove intake, just a bit rough to get the top compressor bolt, lines come right off underneath without removing intake as well as top bolt will too. needless interaction.

    And did you noticed he didnt replaced the condenser nor the drier and he didnt flush the system..what a waste aof time this new co.pressor could get damege again he didnt even remove the factory compressor oil wich is in the compresor instrucction and waranty sheet

    eziocv- Hell na! I tried for 2 hours to get the compressor out from the bottom with the car on a lift. You can't even disconect the lines.

    i did manage to get it out from the bottom, it was an experience i would never want to repeat, once removed the compressor bolts the lines can be disconnected from the top with a 12"-15" extension socket by wiggling the compressor so you can access the bolts, it's definitely easier if there's someone with you, but i was by myself and after all the frustration for taking that thing out of the bottom, i plugged all the lines and continued the job next day. it can be done but it's a job.

    I took off the radiator and condensor off, and the undercover. It came off much easier and faster than this. I went ahead and replaced the belt, radiator hoses and coolant since I already had everything off.

    You went from saying you’re removing the air filter box to removing the fuel system and throttle body lol. What a pain in the ass to take off 3 bolts. Maybe it’s a good idea to tell us what tools we need to do the job.

    This is actually a 1.8 liter engine. Very common for stretched or snapped timing chain, leaking cam magnets, loud ac compressor bearing, infamous vacuum leak from hose under intake box, the list goes on. Worst design by benz by far. Do yourself a favor and at least get the v6 c230 if your settling with a c class.

    Rip that overengineered pos out of there and put a small block in. This is rediculas, half the motor has to be removed just to access the a/c compressor.
