It'd have been interesting to have seen how much runout there was on the side where he just stabbed at it with a stick welder...then decided to use the bench grinder to get it back to size... Washing the stator windings with water... Hmm...🤔 The thing that gets me most about these 'restorations'...is just how many people think he's done a "great job"...

Phew. That shaft welding and grinding for getting the bearing tight was hard to watch. Couldnt you at least use a lathe?

You only restore the looks but not the winding and you even not re varnish the windings of the motor..

And by weldingthe shaft of the rotor, he has made it off balance. Why didn't he just order a smaller inner diameter bearing??

@@steveshepherd2745 yeah thats true if the motor didnt balance properly i think the result will be a burnt winding and scratch stator core..

One thing wrong the winding wash by water
