Air Bags and Seatbelts -- Mercedes-Benz Driving Safety Features

The air bag has never worked alone. Ever since its breakthrough production debut in the 1981 S-Class, it's been paired with other complementary safety features, beginning with the emergency tensioning device which cinches up a vehicle's seatbelts, keeping occupants firmly in their seats. The number of complementary systems has only grown since then, and the team shows no signs of stopping any time soon.

#CSIT

Airbags were first used on Aircraft carriers in 1940. Seastbelts were first used in New York Taxi's in 1884. Move up to the 21st Century; check out: Replace airbags and seatbelts youtube. If that is not for you; try the new rotary dial phone. I hope you don't mind the party line.

besides not wearing a seatbelt, nothing can make u stay alive when driving into a pole at 65 miles per hour not wearing your seatbelt. and besides that, the development of car safety since 1997 has improved dramatically, especially with mercedes, being the leader of the pack

You weren't first with side impact airbags for cabs (Volvo was) and how is the Pre safe aeb system ground breaking when it can't even stop the car? (Search youtube for fifth gear aeb test). Volvo was first with that system as well in the XC60. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class earned the lowest grade for the new test (small overlap) at IIHS while the S60 received the highest. Why are you feeding us this bull?
