I used to think about maybe meeting Ed one day and just picking his brain, or just even telling him how big of a fan I was. Even though that probably wouldn’t have happened, it’s sad to know that now it will never happen:(

@@nohandle935 Its on the first fret of the b and high e string, youre supposed to go from the high e to the b, but it is easy to accidentally hit the e string twice instead. The original recording included this, eddie must have just liked the spark of that specific recording, maybe how the flanger rang off on the note.

Best cover of this song. Ive looked on youtube, and you got the sound perfectly down, and you even notice that the second time the riff repeats a note is taken out. Nice job!

I'm actually using a Line 5 M13 stomp box modeler. And I've selected the model for the MXR Flanger/EVH MXR Flanger. I don't have the Flanger settings with me now but will try to post later... they'll also be in my lesson on the song (along with all other sound set up details).

I think the greatest thing about Eddie is he didn't have $$$ for tricks and peddles and anything flashy when starting out......he had a guitar, a whamy and an amp and had to make that work and sound different than everyone else and was incredibly successful in doing so with technique. Your playing here and on your other videos is fantastic.....I'm sure Eddie would be impressed and enjoy jamming with you! I enjoy learning!
