Aigues-Mortes translates as “dead water,” but the salt marshes that surround it made this medieval city thrive because of its main industry: producing sea salt. Fortified by a Mediterranean port built in the 12th century, the great walls of Aigues-Mortes are still intact. Follow the path along this wall to see beautiful views. Beautiful City. Nice Video.
