I think Rand's pipe lighting power will be unique to him because of how he interacted with the pattern in his battle of will's with the dark one. It's possible that he has a fundamentally altered view of the pattern that allows him to bend it to his will.

The nature of the Aes sedai bond will change with the cleansing of the taint. Currently, Aes sedai lord it over their warder(s) coz of their channeling ability. The bond between Ashaman and Aes sedai will move toward a partnership of equals rather than the way it is now.

If Telaronrhiad is now linked to the world, then Perrin could be one of the most powerful characters moving forward.

The wheel will continue to weave since Rand won against the dark one. I think the books are so important today because we are a culture before the breaking. Look around the world thexpattern disintegrates.The question whether humans will survive it is unclear but probably we will. What comes next is for our children and grandchildren to determine.

Personally, I would love to see more of the 4th age, especially regarding the Seanchan/Aiel conflict. I think that conflict probably is inevitable, but that the context around it could probably differ from Aviendha's vision. I also think that the conflict will result in either the Aiel or the Seanchan being destroyed. If the Aiel are able to unite the other powers against the Seanchan, it could lead to a much better future than the one Aviendha saw. Also, regarding the sacrifice of the Jenn Aiel and the columns, I think that they may be made from the same substance as Callandor, which we saw in the vision. I also think this crystal/glass substance may be made from Egwene's "Flame of Tar Valon" weave (anti-balefire). What it is and what it's capable of is unknown, but we do know that the weave turned everything around it into crystal. That's just my theory, anyway.

It's likely that they avoided the dark fate of the Aiel by including them in the Dragon's Peace as enforcers and mediators.

I had to replay Norm saying "Blah, blah, blah, woo, woo, woo" and "Blah, blah, blah, woo, woo, woo" about 3 times. Just another great show.

One option about Seanchan that was brought up in the books is that their culture and empire could collapse, when it comes common knowledge that sul'dam can channel too.

Exactly what I was about to comment. The Seanchan society is built on damane and the sul'dam. It definitely looks like Seanchan collapsed across the ocean and the newfound Seanchan Empire in Randland isn't the most secure rule out there yet.

I feel the seeds of failure of Seanchan slavery were planted throughout the series.

I always felt that the double bond was the future of the Red Ajah. The Red needs a new identity and the first double bond was with a Red.

Are the Shaido the remnant that remains? Even if they are, I think their solitude eventually makes them irrelevant because technology will leave them behind. I think that Avienda saves the Aiel from this future by making them a part of the Dragon's Peace so that tech developments in the wetlands don't drive them into insignificance.

I always wondered what the remnant was supposed to be and how the Dragon's Peace figured into it. I feel like by the end RJ and Sanderson abandoned the remnant part.

Wish I had seen this video live. The story I want at the beginning of the 4th age is the Adventures of Olver and Loial

I don't remember what passage it was but I thought Bait returns before the last battle and states that she saw as Avi saw through the eyes of her descendants. May be misremebering but I thought I'd mention it. I just checked the wiki and she does see the same thing as Avi, she talks about it in T'A'R

There needs to be a 4th age video game. Like what if Olver becomes Bode's warder and they and Neald go on a quest to retrieve the oath rod from the Shaido for the Black Tower to quell strife between the Aes Sedai and the Asha'man. All kinds of things could happen 😁👍

I am hoping that a successful Wot on Prime series greases the wheels of future out-rigger stories.

The fourth age and it’s conflicts, from what I remember (having my books on loan) is the power vacuum created in the lands that Rand occupied, as well as many others now missing rulers, what’s left of their nobles aren’t likely to just sit still and accept foreign occupation, and the last battle is likely to spawn more dragon swarm in its wake. As for the Schounchan I think they’ll abide by peace for thirty years or so, especially with their interest pointed to their homeland now and the political upheaval happening there.

just a thought, we not Wheelies or Randfans. surely Unravelling the Patten nailed it. Say it with me “ my name is Ben (insert yr name) and I’m a WOTaholic.

The progress of Aviendha's visions seemed to cast the Seanchan as European settlers conquering and developing the New World. The colonization and subjugation is terrible, but perhaps it is the inevitable march of progress.

Forgetting that Mat is now Emperor, and Hawkwings Talk, with Tuon's; channeling. I think Peace might be had More quickly than we are seeing the Trees through the Fog. My question is when does the Singing begin, the song has to be found for the toys we found to work...The Ashaman will Merge with Aisdia. as they are bonded and they know the strengths of that. The Aiel, will eithier end up with the Shidoh, or live with the Oghier...

It would seem conflict is inevitable, but as some have said, the Sul'dam revelation would change a lot, then there's the male channellers the Seanchan would be unable to control.

Another thought that had come to me is that Prophecy said the Dragon will be reborn to save the world, and to break it again. Is the breaking the actual breaking of the world's future that would have occurred had Rand not for TG or had lost?

Does the future that Aviendha sees include her having had these visions or was this the likely future before she saw them?

Why would Perrin join the Seanchan as king of Saldaea? Or was that not what RJ wanted?

I think that Rand's powers with the pipe might be more related to how he literally willed the pattern into existence in his final battle multiple times. It's kind of like the Godhead in the elder scrolls imo, when they achieve Chim in Elder scrolls they basically become an aspect of creation and gain immense powers because of it. Part of achieving Chim is realizing that reality isn't really "real" and you gain self awareness about the reality of the universe. In a similar way, Rand could easily have been changed by his experience outside of the pattern. He directly manipulated the pattern already and now he displays a tiny example of that exact power. Yes the world of dreams was compressed and it has similar characteristics, but it has similar characteristics precisely because it's connected to the pattern differently than the material world. People MAY gain a similar power through the world of dreams, but I personally thought it was a power specific to Rand.

Bit of a gloomy theory here, but what if the future Aviendha saw gave the reader a glance at how things will transpire in the 4th age, thus creating a predestined effect. Aviendha forcing Rand to add the Aiel into the accords, to be the enforcers of the new laws, is what creates the tension between Aiel and the Seanchans. It even says how the first Empress (Fortuona) was willing to abide to the new laws, but the next one … not so much (Moghedien??) Thus, resumes the invasion to retake the land. This could explain the strife between Aviendha’s grandchildren and Elayne’s, as they warned the Crown of Seanchan’s obscrehtions but Andor’s unwillingness to strike and start a war with the Seanchan. Also supports the later generations’ viewings when nations have been barred from helping the Aiel, as the Aiel do not have a city for which the Seanchan can take control over and impose their laws - finally putting an end to the Dragon’s new era laws - so the Seanchan are on a mission to eradicate the land of Aiel who represent a different governing system… Pretty dark theory, as this means the Seanchan essentially take over the world, but the thought of changing the future given by the viewings makes me think that their actions will in fact create it.

The seanchan have the spider - cadsuane is needed to counter that just on its own

Her name in the books is Nakomi. Who she is? Well if you have read all of the books you can start to dig for more. I would say watch Dusty Wheels show about Nakomi.

So the wheel is like the most advanced AI ever created, and time is cyclical to the point where stars don't go supernova (ie, the laws of physics are different to our own, despite our time period being hypothesised as being the first age).... So.... the likelihood that the entire WOT reality is actually a simulation seems to skyrocket.

I would like the future age to be written - especially if Brandon is willing to do it

Would LOVE to see 4th age books or shows, but want to see the start of the age and the end of the 3rd age's affect on it and not another story told at the end of an age. The beginning of the 3rd age was so full of strife and drama and I think the beginning of the 4th age could be a slow burn to a political conflict with the Seanchan and the potential dying out of channelers as a result

Do you think matt would stand for women being chained and hurt? Even channellers? The pattern will need them to be releases i feel - the warming is that unless this happens we die

I think the end of the forth age is the Seanchan are defeated but there were such loses on both sides that channeling starts to die out as fewer people are born with the gift and since there not enough people to teach or to find those that can learn more die until at the end of then fifth age there are no channelers left and so by the end of the seventh age no one even remembers that there were channelers or that there is a wheel or dark one at all completing another full turning of the wheel

There are plenty of myths and legends of Sorcerers, Magi, Witches and Warlocks in our Age that you shouldn’t write off Channeling in this age, just nowhere near as common as in the 2nd, 3rd and into the 4th Age. With the cleansing, Male channeling will be a lot more common and the numbers should grow in fact.

@@Harldin You are correct sir but they are not called channelers nor is there any mention of the one power I ended at the seventh age because by the end of the first age channeling has to be common again to bring in another age of legends. So yes it would start out as myths but by the end of this age it would be more common

The Aiel Wise One's already see the future of their own lives as certain events may or must unfold for them when they go through the rings. They see the history through their bloodlines and now can see the future of their bloodlines and so the future of the world. I think as a result of this terangreal the Aiel will become harbingers or guardians of the future and will become very wealthy/prominent in the world in the future. I don't think the columns are alive, but they may be somewhat intuitive or perhaps linked to a persons "need" like terangreal and in some way respond to that need.

As long as it’s not as bad as Legend of the Seeker, I’ll be satisfied.

Spoilers for the entire series below: Uh, we already know everyone will see the future. One of the wise ones, Bear I think, literally goes through them after Aviendha and comes back in Memory of light and confirms Aviendha's story. Why is everyone talking like this is unknown(including Brandon) when it's literally a passage in the books?

The thing shows the future at that point in time. It was altered after Aviendha exited and it altered after the next wise one exited. Aviendha saw a purposeless Aiel not included in the Dragons Peace and a living Rhaurc. The Aiel are in the Dragons Peace now and Rhaurc is dead. If a third wise one entered after the last battle, she would still see a horrible end to the Aiel, but probably a slightly different one. It's basically a game of time shenanigans.

The future of the Aiel will lie with Rand and Aviendha's children.. she will have 4 babies all at once according to Min.. Winter's Heart ch. 12 imo

A tv series that ends with slavery in these lands would be difficult to be accepted

All of you guys need to read the books, because you don't have a clue as to whom will survive the last battle..knock it off!!! 😂
