Love the crag cleaning. Always take an extra bag to our local spot as we have access issues. Want the locals to know we're the good guys.

Yeah man that's the spirit keep the playground clean!!!
Aidan cleaning up litter at the crag reminds me of Beau Miles’ video when he cleaned up a river while kayaking a river from source to ocean. Could be an interesting collab. 🤔
That's it, pro climber showing how to behave at the crag. Congrats!
I think I know more about Aidan's fingers than I do my own at this point 😅 Anther great video though! Well done!

It's kind of absurd how little his body moves when he releases the left hand at 3:56 and 5:03

What I dont understand is how these pros can climb in such cold weather. My fingers would probably break off.
@craigbritton1089
Жыл бұрын
One of the reasons they can be pros is they have the circulatory system that allows them to climb when most people would have numb fingers. From my experience ( climbing since 66); in The US it was the climbers who realized they could climb harder in cold temps that helped the transition to 5.13 occur so quickly after 5.12 ( with John Stannard-; who was climbing year round- in The Gunks: having put up 5 10+/1s that later got upgraded to 12s
Strong 💪
Hats off to Matt.
A while ago, Adam Ondra mentioned that his fingernails cover the very tips of his fingers so that no flesh 'squishes' out in front. Maybe this really helps stability and contact strength on extremely crimpy moves. Any sports science researchers want to get the calipers out?
I visited the Abbey a couple of weeks ago and was genuinely saddened to see so much rubbish strewn all over the place, I was literally having to sidestep it on the footpaths. And yet English Heritage think climbers are the problem...

It's a real problem at some crags. Hopefully, if we all do our bit to clear up we can change that
spent the whole video thinking the audio was uncharacteristically messy and poorly layered, with weird Ben Moon interview footage throughout Aidan talking... only to realise i was also playing the real thing in another tab oops. guess it's a good excuse to re watch atleast :)

Putting socks on so you don't go walking off the pad, now that's a tactic I never knew I needed but I do! Also what is the name of this boulder? The title says Serendipity and both the video (0:38) and the description say Serindipity. A bit of searching on google tells me it's probably Serendipity but this is not the first time I've seen it spelled the other way. Great vid

Question : At what angle does an overhang become a roof, my home boulder hangs at an angle of 33 degrees and it feels like climbing a roof. So is it still a very steep overhang or a roof 😁
