    This is such incredible inspiration. If you were to make more, it would be neat to see the little eyes light up. You probably already know way more than I, but there are little tiny inductive LEDs you can get that dont need to be connected to anything. They use a separate electric coil for power so there is a good few inches of space you can put between them and the power source with no physical connection. You could totally build the coil into the base to make the eyes glow. I almost didnt buy them because I thought it was going to be too complicated, but it only took me a few minutes to figure out how to get them to work once I had them in my hands and I am a total novice. Im still scared of the sculpting part though. LOL. You make it look so easy.

    Becky, Have you tried the Meshatastick yet? You may have a good height to utilize these small boards that are Arduino based
