It’s been said that Midjourney V6 release can do text… that could be exciting… meanwhile I’m loving Ideograms for layout ideas, awesome for inspiration, but Dalle3 I’m loving the graphics (they vectorise so well), reminds me of Freepiks style types. Exciting times 😎👍

I find that Ideogram seems to do better with the square than the rectangle. I have never been able to get anything that is T-shirt ready, I always have to retouch or redo the text and photoshop out the weird things that pop out. Ideogram seems to have been trained with classic principles of graphic design and they do fill the space with an evenly balanced work of art, so they can be good for inspiration. I haven't tried Dalle3 but now you have me stoked to try it. AI is a wonderful tool for artists, but it is a tool, not a replacement.

I agree, so many artists, either, are afraid or absolutely despise ai art, but you’re right, it’s good for inspiration, layout, and design ideas. As an artist, I embrace it. Personally, I think it looks soulless and it all looks the same.

I think one of the cool things I like to do, is to just use the AI apps to create a base image to come up with ideas that I can trace or recreate in Illustrator.

Thanks for the great comparison. IMHO, Dalle3 has the graphics over Ideo but struggles with text. I've found the shorter the text the better in Dalle3 but even that doesn't work a lot of the time. BTW they posted that the delay in returning the image is due to the rush of people jumping on Dalle3, and that they are expanding their GPU farm to handle it. They gave me extra boosts yesterday with an apology for taking so long. I like how you rated the images as "t-shirt" ready or not. I think too many people will just take AI art and post it then wonder why it isn't selling. Quality is important. Thanks again..

Yes.... just because it can create a design doesn't make it "t-shirt ready" but it's still fun to play with

I think you hit the nail on the head when you pointed out that for the last prompt, none of the designs would actually get sales. It is impressive that these sites/apps can do text, but the designs are far from being ready for prime time. I totally agree with you that the art from those pumpkins could work if the text was replaced. Right now, that's how I'm approaching all the Ideogram designs. I don't expect to use them as is, without modification. The same is essentially true for Midjourney. It will be interesting to see where the technology is a year from now. Change the text with your own handwriting.

Bing image creator is my best choice for t-shirt designs.. you can see some of the prompts I used for retro sunset and other grunge graphic styles.

Thanks, Juna, another great topic. I've also noticed that Bing has tremendously improved their graphics results with prompts. I think they all will improve with time. The images and text get better after the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trials on some occasions. And the engine is slow, that's a big deal of time. It's just kinda funny how they are training their engine with people's prompt yet won't grant a commercial license. Nobody wants to generate images just for fun. A prompt is an intellectual property too. Well I don't take them seriously, they had better not use those images either. Nice work bro👍

Thanks for the great info. I have been trying different AI programs to produce designs and have been having a lot of trouble getting images without errors. I thought it was my prompts that were the problem but I see that you have the same types of results. Hopefully, they will be more useful in the near future.

Beneficial comparison of two AI services. Helpful video again as well. It's a pity we cannot use the DALL-E 3 images for POD but it's a good start and food for thought. A good idea is to contain in the description the prompts you are using in your video, so the viewer can use them without copying them letter by letter from the screen.

Hi Juna! I've been selling on Etsy a couple of months now and I'm thinking about to try out TP and RB as well. Do I have to trademark check my product titles and tags on those platforms as well like on Etsy? Are you doing so? I do not infringe trademarks purposely, but there are a lot of simple words and phrases trademarked which I would never think they are. Thank you very much!

Yes... always check trademarks.... honestly sometimes I forget and then a rejection happens so, checking is always better.

Hi there. This one is a bit challenging to me and the online search results are all different. My question is what kind of products are needed or maybe required or much better if the design is upscaled? Is it required to upscale a design for a particular product or is it depend on the design that it needs to be upscaled? Thanks!

Usually AI art is saved at 1024x1024 and print on demand product need to be about 4500x5400.... so yes, the AI art needs to be upscaled to work for print on demand

I wonder if you tooks some parts of the Dalle-E designs (eg the image only) and mashed it into your own design with your own text and additional graphics, whether that would be OK for commercial use? I imagine it would not be allowed. What do you think?

Leornardo and Ideogram are FREE to use....MidJourney if you have paid plan.... Dall-E 3 can't be used right now, but I bet they will have paid plans in the future..... remember not to use any copyrighted or trademarked stuff.... for example if you create a spiderman with AI it doesn't mean you can use it.

If you have a google account or gmail you should be able to sign in the Bing for free... go to bing.com/create and follow the instructions

Dalle3 graphics are amazing but it gets the text wrong while ideogram is the opposite its graphics are not very good but most of the time it gets the text right
