I remember reading a story someone had wrote for some class, this would have been in like 2006 when I read it, that basically "proved" that R2-D2 was the leader of the Rebel Alliance. It made some fantastic points and had me convinced. Wouldn't it be amazing if it turns out the two biggest faction leaders in the galaxy are R2-D2 and Jar Jar Binks?

In legends there was a force sensitive droid. It was the one that was about to be sold to Owen and luke in a new hope, but blew up so they chose r2 instead (also the same droid in the mandalorian season 3 I'm pretty sure) in legends he actually purposefully blew himself up,, knowing r2s importance because of the force. Its also possible he did it on purpose in canon because in mando s3 he's a rebel, but at the moment he's definitely not force sensitive.

I’m officially going to call BD8 Bleeep Bloop from now on.
