Watching Ai climb is literally the most healing thing, there are do many routes I see others get in a second that I know I just can't do how they do because I'm too short, but me and Ai are the same height, if I work hard enough, I can do that.

Her slab work is just impeccable. She makes the incredible look so easy. It’s just beautiful to watch.

Ai is my favorite climber to watch. Im a tall dude with a +4" ape. I simply can't look at climbing the way shorter people do because I've never had to. Watching short climbers exposes my weaknesses and shows me what I need to work on. I enjoy watching Janja because she solves problems the same way I would if I had anywhere near her strength. But watching Ai is incredibly impressive because she solves problems beyond my comprehension.

Her relaxed determination soothes my mind. How can a person so small be so strong?

She is the opposite of flashiness, very static and calm and while of course having her kind of skill would be an incredible feat, she still manages to make it look like any 14 year old little girl could just do what she did. I believe she does boulders the most efficient way out of anyone else.

The first clip was the reason I searched for Ai Mori's combination video. She is incredible, my jaw literally dropped to the floor!

I love Ai, and being a short climber myself, (although I'm only a kid), find her beta really creative and she manages to do things differently than everyone else who is taller than her.

What makes her so enjoyable to watch and also learn from is that when you actually see her beta, you think, "Yeah this is crazy but I feel like someone could have figured it out eventually to do it like that". And by this I mean, I like that her way of thinking about climbs to fit her style and height is immediate for her, but for others, it's not a first hand thought.

We already have Janja The Queen. I would call Ai Mori The FanSTATIC Girl.

Awesome video, that first route beta break was the craziest I've ever seen! Her technique is a true testament of skill, so educational. Like the Ai Mori and slab content, would love to see more, keep it up.

Re 6:01... If the setters are truly blocking the volume corners because they know Ai could use it, they should also set the jumps so that it wouldn't be impossible for her height to reach. It's her natural gift to be smaller and be able to use crevices just like it's a gift for taller people to have longer reach.

The jumps aren't as height dependent as you think they are, they are a lot more about technique, jumping power and commitment. The move at 3:10 would be a better example of where people with a bigger ape index have an advantage.

Im going to like this channel. I think I saw Ai-chan for the first time on the latest olympics. And instantly became a fan of that quiet, shy, tiny, super talented powerhouse. So this year I watched the IFSC's championships, and was rooting for her to get the ticket for Paris! Absolutely has my respect because she totally goes against the society standard, and being one of if not the best while being only a bit taller than 150cm. Also love her calm, even zen way of climbing, focusing and concentrating so much, but still being cute and adorably... casual on the floor. I mean, I think at the end of the Boulder+Lead finals, after she got the olympics ticket the interviewer asked something in english, and having no idea Ai-chan was just like "huh?" 😅😊 So yup. Ai is a treasure, and I'm really looking forward to see how she gonna do in Paris.

Ai mori and akane yamaguchi (badminton) might be athletes that are below average in term of height compared to other athletes in their sport, but they work very hard to develop extraordinary skills to excel in their sport. Massive respect for them ❤
