Creating AI models requires expertise on a whole new level, which is not easy and not everyone can do it. Integrating LLMs or creating wrappers are different tasks compared to creating AI models, which are not as hard comparatively.

productivity? sure, but u do know that most devs working for a corporate environment don't have the time to solve every problem from scratch and take the help of stack overflow, right? more than 50% devs will be devastated because they are so dependent on stack overflow, devin does the exact same thing, except it can do it a 1000 times faster and better than a human, so yeah.... devs will still be there, but the jobs will be heavily cut short and only the best of the best who can adapt and improve will remain.

I personally don't think big tech companies or HFT firms will ever use Ai like devin in there development environment because in order for devin to generate any valuable code , firstly i should have access to their code includes some IP codes which most companies will ever allow an AI tool to analyse and understand. bro im not even from coding background i just learned little coding during my 11th 12th class, i am a graduate in mechanical engineering and i used chat gpt to build custom webscraping bots. I even used it in excel to make custom formulas, Make reports and all etc. AI is really good it saves a lot of time and also enhances your creativity. Coming to the part of jobs, certainly it will eliminate jobs because now since it enhances productivity of working professionals where the team size was of 10 people it might be now 8 or 7 or even less. Various technologies are always build to enhance productivity and then focus on other tasks, so now since AI will save a lot of time, other areas and problems will be also explored and which will result into even more number of jobs which might take time. Same thing has been repeated when internet was made.
