AI Generated Psychedelic Hallucinations (4K)
If you like what I do, please consider supporting me on Patreon: / josiekins
We trained StyleGAN3 on a dataset of ~17,000 examples of curated visionary artwork in an attempt to teach a computer to generate psychedelic hallucinations. This was the result.
I had tried this experiment previously using styleGAN2 and a smaller dataset of only around ~2000 images. You can see the video for that project here: • AI generated DMT entit...
Interestingly, that particular version of this experiment yielded much more interesting DMT entity-like faces but with formless terrible geometry. In comparison, this version of the experiment did not yield convincing-looking psychedelic entities but does have much more detailed, complex, and structured psychedelic geometry.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure where to take this experiment next. I'm unfamiliar with the newer image generations models that are coming out and the field is moving incredibly fast. If anybody who is well-versed in image generation models wants to collaborate with me, please hit me up in the comments below or email me at disregardeverythingisay@gmail.com.com

Love the colors. TBH, I think the actual faces are a distraction. I really like where my own mind wanders without the influence of actual faces. I don''t like seeing recognizable forms at all, I would rather use this as a creative tool. The shapes vary wonderfully, and with the variations in color, it's very inspiring!

there are much better replications than this... the patterns in this video don't evolve organically, instead the texture and motivic content changes rapidly. If you ever pay close attention to CEVs there is an organic logic to the way they evolve which is very different than the AI's interpretation. Plus the patterns are a bit crooked, not sure why.

Wow Josie....wish I had the skills to help! I found playing the video at various speeds was interesting - being an oldtimer I enjoyed lower speeds the most, but high speeds are a trip too. I guess the audio simply slowed down or sped up rather than changing pitch as it would in normal recordings is an artifact of streaming, no? Since I'm stuck on a phone. I usually keep the resolution setting low, since with the small screen it hardly makes a difference, but here it does - I kicked it up to 720 and the detail at 0.25 speed was fantastic! Can't wait to see this on a larger screen!

Fine work, Josie.
I love it but it is sort of all happening in 2 dimensions on a flat plane. It would be cool to see it like an expanding sphere, or going in various 3 dimensional directions and having the changes in form happening in different speeds. On this one at any time point everything seems to be changing at more or less the same rate.
This is amazing. More of this please.
Absolutely beautiful!
This is amazing..... audio is great. .... visually beautiful
I enjoy changing the playback speed to varying levels. Thank you for this co creation of flow state art.
This is so beautiful. I’ve smoked DMT about 5 times don’t think I’ve ever broken all the way through but one time I was somewhere where all the times I’ve smoked dmt I was still there experience it like if I was in between a wall of mirrors. And ‘they’ were around me but it felt like somewhere where it’s always happening. So hard to explain. I want to meet someone I can trust with my naked heart and mind so I can have help taking that 3rd hit and break through. This video is so beautiful def giving me flashbacks. Thank you🙏🏽♥️🌱✨
I have been waiting for something just like this
awesome, i always tried this, dall-e mini give me some impressive results, but this in next level
rewatching this on 1.5 speed and realizing how the transitions and artwork would be more complete with more linear, angular transitions as well. Its a bit too fluid and needs more sacred geometry linearity somehow. Absolutely amazing though. Thanks for all you do
Definitely the best I’ve have ever heard or seen on the DMT experience. Both Terrence KZread’s and Dr Rick’s book were not what I could relate to. Your perception is exactly how I see it, and it’s the first time ever heard somebody else say it for me like it is. All I can say is far out and thanks for this experience. I really appreciate it.

Finally! 💟
Is there's a way to have the camera zoom into the center slowly, without it ever seeming to get too close because the images keep morphing into something else and are not still? imagine a constant slow zoom in on the face that it produces- you would never get to zoom in totally on the face because it changes into a new scene always. The tricky part is having the next scene slightly smaller than the last or else youll be way too zoomed in after 10 scenes. Can the AI sort of scale the art such that it is produced from the center?- that way you are zooming in on new generating images, whilst the old motion images expand into and past the camera's view. If this is achievable, i believe it would be the worlds most accurate and worthy high dose psychedelic simulation.
I'm actually currently making a theory about how the human brain tripping is very similar to the way AI creates art.

artists have been trying to map it out and bring it back for ages, some get a lot closer than others, but for some reason i think the digital computereyness of these visuals sort of miss the mark because they are too on the nose. they don’t feel like what i have seeen, they feel like a computer pumping out a diluted version of our already diluted translations of what we see. it’s missing something i can’t quite put my finger on.
Did you train this with dreambooth for stable diffusion? Would you be open to sharing the training data with the community so others may generate too?

I’d been on acid one time, it was really a recreative dose and my visuals were just a cartoony filter over reality, but as I started to watch the video I’m kinda sure that a high dose of any psychedelic can generate visuals as close at this shown… I’m impressed!

i saw this while taking an hypnotic and damnnnnnnn
how many frames per second is this? I feel like thats actually important to relate to when tripping and understanding all this cause Life on psychedelics feels like the possibility of infinite frames per "second", second meaning a measurement of awareness of the eternal Now"

@@earlaweese What are you on about lol? There’s tons of evidence to show Psilocybin, LSD and MDMA can help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction and more, along with generally improving people’s outlook on life to a more positive one. The visuals are really just a cool side effect from psychedelics, but our brain connecting neural pathways that never normally connect puts users’ in a state of consciousness they never normally experience. In this state, insightful and positive thoughts are very common. As someone who struggled with depression to even suicidal levels for a long time, Psilocybin and LSD helped me to see things from a clearer point of view and stopped me being so pessimistic. When I asked what I could do in my daily life to integrate these insights and then actively put them into practice, my life has improved so much more and I am genuinely happy for the first time in years. You’re acting like psychedelics are just about tripping balls and don’t have healing properties. P.S. Microdosing also improves general mental health and with the conditions mentioned above, but there are no visuals due to the small dose. I’ve taken several anti-depressants, all of which did nothing for me, but microdosing Psilocybin, along with my LSD and Psilocybin trips have really helped me to beat depression.

To me it seems like the AI was trained on a combination of LSD, DMT, and mescaline replications, maybe also psilocybin or others. Which is why the result is a confused psychedelic soup which doesn't really capture the character of any particular substance.

@user-ro9md9wp3j

It says nothing... this replication isn't remotely convincing. Of course with better instructions and training an AI could certainly make a much better replication, but it would still say nothing about the psychedelic experience. The psychedelic experience is much, much more than just visuals.

The difference is an AI is random to a degree, a trip is purely personal and is the way your specific brain chemistry reacts to the chemicals. You and a friend could both take the same substance under the same circumstances and have completely different experiences, visuals and realisations. There is no insight with online trip visuals, just beauty
