I feel like I saw a legitimate research paper on this kind of thing but tested in traditional sports, if I can remember I'll find the paper, but the short story was something along the lines of the disconnect from doing the same thing with a variable change and getting a different outcome makes your brain focus and adjust stronger to the stimuli to correct things back towards the normal. The added focus leads to better short term performance. I forget if there were long term gains but I think just knowing this part of things is already really useful and applicable across a ton of different situations.

Please make a video about why u chose G303 to be your main mouse. How did you test it to reach confirmation? and why this one & not all the other amazing Claw Grip mouse shapes out there? I am 100% sure that I use the same Claw Grip as yours, and shroud's. My hand is 20x10cm. But I've been searching for my optimal mouse shape since 2017, and I can't say I found one. Hopefully you will provide some insight and guidance. Your experience and skills are so clear just by watching your content, and I would love to hear any advice from you mate. P.S. I've tried almost all famous mice and shapes, so far the best is End game Gear XM1r, my best conclusion is the sensor placement of the XM1 what makes it feel better for me, but I would love to hear your opinion mate.

Have you seen my G303 SE review by any chance? kzread.info/dash/bejne/dpmtucGTiKfWfJs.html I cover most of the reasons there. I have also tried a bunch of popular shapes, and the trend seems to be lightweight ambidextrous mice with relatively straight sides. My issue with these shapes is that the straight sides make pulling the mouse into my hand more difficult, reducing my control. G303 SE sides that become more narrow toward the front, and narrower from the top to the feet of the mouse which makes a claw style grip feel extremely secure.

@@StruthGaming My default position is a very low chair. This has obviously made my range of motion really poor and it limited my aim. I tried increasing the height of my chair dramatically, even to the point where its too high (have to slouch/lean forward) yet I still feel tons of tension moving my arm around. I unfortunately dont have an arm sleeve so I tried using sweaters or going with my bare skin and both yielded the same result. Is my next move to invest in an arm sleeve, and could it possibly be my mouse pad being too old/dirty? Should I look into replacing that as well? How would you recommend I move forward? Thanks :D

Not sure if you've seen it yet, but this video covers how to get into your optimal position - kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqOX0LKghtm4mdI.html As for the arm, there's a quick way to determine if you'd benefit from a sleeve. Wash your whole arm (whatever would be in contact with the desk) with soap and water, then try playing. This will remove any oil/clamminess that can slow you down. If this suddenly fixes the problem, you could use a sleeve so save some effort and provide a bit more comfort.
I have found that i sometime accidentally bump up my dpi without noticing and go ultra instinct. Most the time it just makes me throw the game though 😂
my take is, the ai gave some general good tips, but the result is something i noticed a lot of times, when you raise a lot your sens, at the beggining feels uncomfortable and unaccurate, the interesant comes when you lower the sensivity, now feels great and you are sharper, but the next day will not be the same, the "honeymoon" ends unless you repeat the proccess, which is annoying if you want to just "plug and play", the thing i realized with all of this, no matter what, you re gaining control over your mice wich is positive and with the past of the years will be useful and you will see results, my advice, use different sens depending on the game, ur playstyle, or the type of projectile(its not the same shooting rockets as shooting with a rifle or a beam)
All i do well used to do was play around with settings and sens, once you are a master the sens you end up the best at with hours and hours of troubleshooting there is no feeling like it, also finding the best fov for you is the hardest thing i’ve found but finally got mine the other day. Most people if not everyone doesn’t have the time to change it so often and mess around so much but the thing i love about it is the more you change and the more frequently the better you get with any sensitivity. The real secret is not resting your wrist or arm on anything

That are very unique settings. Not sure why you play like that. But it's preference I guess 🤷♂️ what really doesn't make sense is playing on a low dpi if you don't have to. Just use 800 dpi and 2.0 sense. It is the "same" as 400 dpi and 4.0 sense. The distance you have to move your mouse is the same. But your mouse sends the double amount of data during every movement, making you more accurate.

Ha, I asked the same question as you. Nothing specific that I didn't already know. It basically is not giving me any kind of answer that I haven't used myself over the years of playing. I am kind of surprised it actually gave you the answer it did. I asked it the same question but with Battlefield 4 as the game. This is what it said. Sure! As a general rule of thumb, a good starting point for in-game sensitivity in Battlefield 4 with a 400 DPI mouse is between 10-15%. This range can be adjusted up or down depending on your personal preference and play style. Here are some guidelines to help you find your perfect in-game sensitivity: Start with a low sensitivity: As mentioned, a low sensitivity is generally a good starting point to help you maintain accuracy and precision in the game. You can start with an in-game sensitivity of around 10-15% and make adjustments from there. Test your aim and movement: Take some time to practice your aim and movement with the low sensitivity. Try moving around the map and aiming at targets to get a feel for how the sensitivity affects your gameplay. Adjust your sensitivity gradually: Instead of making big changes all at once, adjust your sensitivity gradually, by 5-10% at a time, until you find the setting that feels right for you. Consider your equipment: Keep in mind that the sensitivity that works best for you can depend on your equipment. If you have a large mousepad and a gaming mouse with a high DPI, you may be able to use a higher sensitivity setting. Conversely, if you have a smaller mousepad or a mouse with a lower DPI, a lower sensitivity may be more appropriate. Ultimately, the best sensitivity for you is the one that feels comfortable and allows you to play at your best. Keep practicing and experimenting with different sensitivity settings until you find the one that works for you.

Interesting, so 12.5% is a 42cm recommendation, with pretty big jumps (5-10%). Something else interesting there is the way it says 'higher sensitivity' when meaning lower cm/360 and vica versa. Could you please do a video on how to properly aim with projectile heroes in Overwatch, especially Hanzo? I've watched your old videos and you mention that if you check where your crosshair is after moving to the target, it will take double your reaction time to fire. But with Hanzo, since you need to predict where the target will be I'm not too sure what's the most optimal way to approach this. Do we focus on target and read them then flick and predict at the same time? Your videos have been awesome! Keep it up! :)
@XiaoLongBao-pr7ve

Right now this is my Hanzo aiming process: 1. Find target (1 reaction time) 2. Moving crosshair to where I think they will go and confirm that crosshair is at the right height for headshot due to bullet drop (2 reaction time) 3. Fire As you can see, it takes quite a long time from acquiring target to firing. I understand that if I just choose to shoot at unaware targets it will be easier, but I'm trying to improve my "raw" Hanzo aim if that makes any sense. Thanks!

There's also a factor than people often forget. It's called lazy aim. You might technically have better accuracy with a lower sens, but it's actually too low for everyday use. There's a guy that spoke about this, an overwatch player I believe.

I wrote up a free manual method here - themeta.com/converting-sensitivity-between-fovs-focal-length-scaling/ If the games use the same FOV scale then it's a simple equation you can plug your settings into, but when the FOV scales are different you have to do some work to match them up first. www.mouse-sensitivity.com/ Has a calculator for focal length scaling (0% monitor match) but it's a paid feature. Perhaps there's a free calculator that can do this out there now but i'm not aware of it.
I never understood the slow sensitivity obsession FPS players have these days. 40cm or more feels insanely slow to me. I use 32-34 depending on the game. Anything faster or slower feels terrible. 45-50cm !? Are you polishing vehicle fender? 😏
Imo unless you're going from completely different game to completely different game with different objectives in aiming, you should just convert raw cm to raw cm. You're trading off getting used to the feel for getting used to new muscle memory and imo muscle memory is more important. Sure the new game will feel like your old sens at first, but you're going to have to retrain your fine motor muscles to a completely new speed. Those muscles are much harder to train than training your brain to adjust to the new feel of the game. You'll realize that even though you're used to the new sensitivity in the game you're playing, you're going to start seeing small inconsistencies that you never used to have. You have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours training to be very accurate with those small movements and unless you're completely changing your sens to something very different, you're going to perform better on what you're used to.

There's nothing wrong with changing settings, grips, techniques etc. But there needs to be some direction. Don't just look at performance, but really think about how your sensitivity feels, and when you change it, how did that feeling change? Over time this should give you a much better idea of what impact changing your settings will actually have. In this video, and the week~ before filming it, I knew my sensitivity felt too low for tracking closer ranged targets. I could literally feel that I had to move my mouse too much when aiming at these targets, but if I increased my sens (from .75-.85 to .95-1.2~) it just felt unsteady. So I knew it needed to be higher, but higher also needed to feel more comfortable. A great way to do that is to play on the other extreme, so playing on a very high sens like at the start of this video then made settings around .95-1.2 that were previously too unsteady, actually feel comfortable.

Here's my result of the endless pursuit of the perfect aim, mouse acceleration, you get the best of both worlds of low sense accuracy and high sens turn and manouvering. If you stick with it over time you will learn the acceleration where it takes a little longer to master, but when it is done, you can jump in after a long time and still be good after a short time. If someone never seem to find their "best mouse setting", the acceleration is definitly the way to go.
