I can really relate to 29:29 where Romain is talking about breaking changes and delaying the adoption of a new version of some library because it has breaking changes. Recently I tried switching from Android Studio Jellyfish to Koala, and on first launch it wouldn't even be able to load gradle files. After five minutes resetting caches, redownloading the internet again and restarting several times it finally was able to load the project without mentioning gradle troubles. But then, the file I had opened was flashing an epileptic error at the top: it was mentioning there was some internal syntax error, then disappear, then reappear again, then disappear… etc, all along syntax highlight appearing briefly and then all code turning back to grey. So I tried closing the file, but every other file I had was also showing errors. Maybe trying to build the project will fix that? Right, but I couldn't even build the project, the IDE wasn't able to build maybe because the gradle loading was a fluke and still couldn't figure out if it was wearing pants or not. All this while I noticed every action inside the IDE was chugging, maybe because there was some wild infinite loop running in the background making things worse. Closed Koala, reopened Jellyfish, everything works, CPU load at 0. Goodbye Koala. None of these were crashes, and I could potentially open a bug report and upload studio logs, but usually this is replied with "can you show us some code and upload your project?", which I can't due to firm policy. So now I fear to be "stuck" at Jellyfish for the time being, until Kathy (or someone else) can figure out some AI tool that will telepathically upgrade my project to the latest version.

Please do submit a bug with the log; sometimes that's enough. If there's any way you can create a small separate project with a similar setup that also causes issues, that helps immensely.

My developer account is about to be closed in a week, but in the next few months i'll be doing uploads. For sometime now, i've been having 'unexpected errors' and can't do anything in it. How do i fix the problem?
