Even when I listened to their song for the first time, those unique moments came right to my mind that made me remember them immediately although at that time, I still hadn't known anything about them. Blackpink’s voices are unique and distinct. Baby Monsters’ are more blended because they got 4 vocalists who’s trained to have similar singing style with Rose. The voices of the rappers are blending too; light and loud but similar flow and vibe; unlike Jennie-Lisa who sound deep and strong but different vibe. Blackpink will always sound better in this type of voice because they got the style. Baby Monsters will sound a lot better in ballads or more sentimental songs because of the power vocalists in the group. They should be given songs like 2NE1’s ballad releases such as Lonely or Hurt. Something like that but not the ones sound like Blackpink’s.

I believe that Teddy (and YG) actually keeps on doing the same mistake, which is to compose a bunch of songs thinking of certain groups, and using those demos they didn't record officially in order to give them to other groups. The reason why I'm convinced this happened here, is because this song sounds unfinished, like it was done in a rush and was constructed to be sang by four people, not more (it's very short and has even the same position for the raps), and also, the statement that they gave saying that Baby Monster would have a "different sound" next comeback. Why not in now, with their debut? They went for a formula that has worked with BP and it's so obvious. These girls deserve better.

I had the lollipop phone when 2ne1 first released that predebut commercial song w Big Bang. I can confidently say 2ne1 sound is very distinct bc of Bommie and CL voice. Their music is a lot heavier on the hip hop and rap sound. Their look overall is more about being outside the line, outrageous and wild rather. Hit me up when Jisoo had a Mohawk and put chopstick in her hair to make a palm tree. They don’t dance in unison the way black pink dance either. They’re more about swag and hype. Blackpink is much girlier and softer in contrast. Hence the pink in black pink. They’re cool too but let’s stop the comparison right there.

I'm sorry, but this AI cover slays as compared to the Original one, hope YG gives a BabyMonster songs which truly embrace their unique qualities while giving off the YG Vibess!!!! edit: Y'all i just stated my thought on the MV, I'm just a normal kpop fan who listens to songs at random, but this is my honest opinion, if you like the MV thats your choice it shouldn't be a problem, if i didnt like it that shouldnt be a problem either - maybe the MV wasn't as per my liking- that's fine too, so before y'all start WWE BP v/s BM, then y'all being dumb fr. Look I ain't saying Baemon ain't got the skills or anything, they are deff very talented, but honestly as per my pov, it didn't really attract me as much as I'd expected, it's not about suppoting BP, it's just a honest review of how i felt while listening "BATTER UP", ofc BP have been working for years together they've learnt how to develop their skills and they were able to bring up their level, BM is yet in the starting phase- it's only the beginning- they've got loads to learn n develop in a grp, I'm pretty sure one YG actually puts up a song acc to their uniqueness, which much of it wasn't expressed in the MV (self opinionated) then they'll truly win the audience, rather than YG reusing MV's, old tracks etc, if they would provide something fresh while still maintaining the cool YG swag, then deff, the MV would've been more captivating to watch, however no doubts the girls did hardwork for them to bring out 'BATTER UP' I don't blame them at all, if I wasn't pleased with the song/MV, This is just my opinion, Honestly their pre-debut song was better than this (for me), this is why i had high expectations of viewing YG's new side, however it's upsetting as YG progressed from 2NE1 to BP(copy) then BM(copy), but with reused sets n stuff, if u get what i mean. I support Baemon and will continue supporting them deff, but this MV wasn't satisfactory (it's average)
