I know this is just a folktale but as an African born and raised, but now live in the USA, I have always thought to myself what is it that we did as Africans to have us separated from our homes and taken into slavery what did we do that give the Europeans the audacity to come and colonize us in our own land and I ask the UNIVERSE all the time because it must have been something that went wrong, yes I read and do research but but found out that as I listen to most of the African folktales and mythology bit by bit my CHI is revealing it to me it is almost like a bunch of strings I am trying to loosen up. And this story have said a lot to my soul as I watch it for this short time thank you for your work. All the ways of our ancestors are lost to us how can we get it back. Water is life.

I read your comment word for word and I feel you pain and questions. I'm glad you are trying to loosen up, please continue to put more effort to that. Our culture as Africans is still alive, though not rooted like the days of our ancestors, but is is very much alive. Loads of love 💕
